“You can be my sweet girl.”
Irish wished she could’ve kissed him but didn’t want to draw any attention from Kenji. Knowing that he wanted his parents back together, caused Irish to be careful in his presence.
“Or Pumpkin,” she teased.
“Nah, you’ll always be my Pumpkin. That’ll never change.”
Irish swooned at his words but quickly straightened her stance when Kenji ran over to them.
“Dad, can you watch me flip into the pit?”
“Yeah, go ‘head. I’ll watch.”
The little boy happily ran off and positioned himself. Before taking off, he looked over to ensure Noble watched him. Once confirmed, he did a front flip into the pit.
“I want you to come back to the house with us.”
“Are you sure? I don't want to come off too strong with Kenji.”
Noble waved his hand. “I don't need you to worry about that. He’s not even paying attention. Besides, he likes you.”
“How do you know?”
“Because he told me on the way here. He thinks you're pretty.”
She blushed. “Really? He said that?”
“Yeah, but I don't like the way you smiling. Let me find out that a six-year-old can make you smile like that.”
“You swear we’re not talking about your son.”
Chuckling, he kissed her cheek. “I’m just playing, baby. Say you’ll come over.”
“I’ll go wherever you go.”
Noble looked around before planting a quick kiss to her lips. “You hungry?”
“I’m always hungry.”
Hours later…
Irish sat in Noble’s theatre room after watchingSpider-Man Homegoingwith the boys. When the movie went off, Noble took the kids to prepare for bedtime. While he was occupied, Irish explored his home, marveling at the opulent property that sat on one acre of land. The first time she’d come, she gave herself a quick tour but didn’t explore the gym, wine cellar, or swimming pool. Now that she’d seen every inch of The St. Anthony estate, she fell in awe.
After walking through the home, Irish went back to the theater room and texted Cali. They’d made plans to meet up since they hadn’t spent much time with each other. Normally, Irish would be at Cali’s side while she went through the transition of her divorce, but she had been through a rough patch too. Cali didn’t hold it against her, which she was thankful for.
“Aye.”
Her eyes followed the deep baritone toward the door where Noble peeked his head inside.
“Come on.”
Grabbing her purse, Irish met him at the door and slipped her hand inside his. They ascended the staircase andwalked into the master bedroom. Noble’s room was dark themed with coffered ceilings, a stone accent wall, and a sitting area near the vast bay window.
Closing the door, he faced her. “I want you to stay the night with me.”
“But Kenji’s here.”
“I know. You can leave before he gets up.” His big hands slid from her shoulders then up to her neck before kissing her lips. “I can’t let you leave. That skirt you got on had my dick hard all day.”
