“Nebel and Lily are friends.I have seen it.There is little to no hesitation, and public or private gets equal play.”
He chuckled.“Another thing to thank Nebel for.”
She snorted and stroked his chest.“Do you have markings under here?”
“I do.If I power up, they become visible.They are also sensitive, just so you are aware.”
She blinked and eased her fingers down and around him, reaching almost to his wings.He was soft and warm all over.
“So are you.”
She sighed.“I am sure I will get used to that.”
“My reading your mind?You are adapting well.”
“Thanks.”
“Now, tell me about other Terrans you are worried about.”
She grinned at him.“Really?”
“Really.I will begin looking for them.It will ease you and possibly gain more experts for the base.”
She nodded.“Well, I don’t know if any of them are alive, but I have a list of people and their general appearance.”
“Begin the list.Boss is listening, and he has my authorization to begin looking through all Terran records.”
“Well, first, there is my friend Em.Emican Ruiz.She brought my homework and helped tutor me when I was with my grandpa and recovering.Skin, light brown, hair black, eyes dark brown.She was artistic when we were kids and was shorter than she should have been because she was constantly short on food.”
“Why?”
“She was one of seven children, and her father left, so her mother was the only one to bring income, and she was supporting eight people.”
He nodded and got the image from her mind.“Was that common?”
“No.They were taunted frequently because of their family size, but her mother had three sets of twins.Em was the only singleton.”
“Do you have siblings?”
“No.I...don’t think so.With my father, I suppose it was possible.”
He paused.“Do you mind if I look for your relatives?”
“No, please.Go ahead.I know Zoey has sisters, but I haven’t seen them.Can you look for her relatives as well?”
“Of course.Tell me about others.”
“Seriously?”
“Seriously.I understand that you have not been with your own kind aside from your relative.He has passed, and now you are free to seek out more of your species, and I am in a position to bring them to you.”
“I would like to see other species.”
“I have access to them.”
