“Oh, like you’re not.”

Plucking an eyeball from the jar with my fingers, I attach it to the fishing line and thread it to where it needs to go.

“Are those from our kitty in the RV?” AJ asks deviously.

“Who else would they be from? Yeah, I ripped them out this morning.”

“Before or after you fucked her?” he questions, eager to know the answer.

I glance over at him, pretending to be shocked. “During.”

“So now we have a blind girl with no arms?”

“It’s not like it’s going to stop either one of us from fucking her.”

“Well, she’s easier to hold down now.” AJ emits an amused laugh at his own joke, covering his mouth with his fist.

“She’s at least keeping our new friends and us fed.” I point the fishing pole at the kayak.

“What do you think about them? Should those be our next two?” AJ asks, as if he hasn’t already made the decision.

“Definitely. I need her tight, hot cunt gripping my dick,” I respond.

“We’d better turn on the cell phone jammer,” AJ whispers.

“As soon as we got here, I clicked it on, hoping we’d get lucky,” I say, always in step with each other.

I cast my line and watch as the eyeball floats along the river.

CHAPTER

TEN

After a few hours, Ryan finally calls it, irritated by our bad luck today. We caught one small fish, and he threw it back. On the bright side, at least I got some reading done.

“You can’t expect a pile of fish every time,” he tells me, as if convincing himself.

“Well, maybe you can get lucky in a different way,” I reply to him in a sultry voice.

His eyes light up. “Say less, you siren,” Ryan says in a pirate accent and aims our kayak to the shore as he paddles with purpose. Smiling at his enthusiasm to get my clothes off, I gawk at his arm muscles propelling us forward.

Looking at the shore, I take note of AJ and Jared, planted in the same spot, and their lines cast with empty beer bottles scattered around them.

“Show us your titties, Mar!” AJ cups his hand halfway around his mouth so his voice projects louder.

Ryan jokes back. “That was for one night only!”

I’m glad there’s no one in sight, or I would have sunk to the bottom of the kayak from embarrassment.

I glance away as I let out a phony laugh. Perhaps I was wrong about these guys. Like Ryan said, campers have their own quirks, like anyone else.

As the kayak drifts to the sand and we make landfall, my body motions forward from the suddenness. Ryan springs out giddily and stretches his hand out to me like the gentleman he is, so I can walk over the kayak and dodge the water, which I gladly do. Ryan anchors it in the sand, and I stride over to the guys, wanting to give them a shot to swallow my suspicions.

“Catch anything worthwhile today?” I ask kindly.

Leaning back on his elbows, AJ creepily gazes up and down the length of me and responds, “None, but I’m sure that will change.”

“We’ve been shooting the shit, dreading for classes to restart soon,” Jared reports.
