“Don’t you and Jase live together?”

“It’s a huge house. He has one side, and I have the other, and there’s still a common area. I think it’ll be perfect, actually.”

“I don’t know, Jordy.”

He looked down at me as he slipped his hands around the small of my back and pulled me closer. “Tell me you’ll think about it.”

I nodded. “I can do that.”

“That’s all I ask, baby.”

“Thank you for always being patient with me, JoJo.”

“We’ve got forever. I’m just taking it one day at a time. Are you hungry? The chef just finished making dinner.”

“You hired a chef?”

“Yeah, he’s like family. Well, he’s my sister’s brother-in-law. I’ve had his food a few times. He’s pretty good.”

Jordy led the way to the kitchen to where there was another guy dressed in all black and drizzling something over a salad.

“What’s up, Mrs. St. John? I’m Chef Key. Your man had me to whip up all of your favorites this evening. So just sit back, relax, and enjoy your evening.”

“Everything looks so good,” I said, clasping my hands as I scanned the table.

There was lobster bisque and croutons, stuffed salmon, salad, mashed potatoes, and even dessert.

“Baby,” I cooed as I looked over at JoJo.

“You ready to eat, mama?”

“Yes, I am. Thank you so much, baby.”

“You’re welcome, love. Come on. Let’s eat before the food gets cold.”

“That’s right. I can’t have y’all leaving bad reviews on a technicality,” Key joked.

After plating our first serving, the chef left us to it. I was almost ashamed of how quickly I devoured my food. Once I was done, Jordy stood from his seat and stood in front of me. He passed me my glass of wine, prompting me to finish it before taking my hand and helping me to stand.

He pressed his lips into mine, kissing me just slow enough to completely undo me. My knees buckled slightly as he traced my jawline with kisses. He chuckled against my neck as his hands found the small of my back and steadied me.

“I have something for you, but it’s completely up to you if you want it,” he muttered.

“What is it?”

In lieu of an answer, he took my hand and led me out of the dining area to the doors that led out to the balcony. When he stopped walking, I looked back at him. His face was stoic as he motioned with his head for me to go ahead. I slid the glass door to the side before stepping out into the night air.

My heart hammered in my ears as I took careful steps toward where Jase stood. It was kind of cute that he wore a houndstooth blazer that matched Jordy’s pants. They were ridiculously adorable sometimes. He stood there leaning against the railing, watching as I moved closer. When I reached him, he grabbed my throat in one hand and pulled me to him. As he crashed his lips into mine, everything around me melted away; well, everything except Jordy. I could feel his eyes on me even if there were a million other people around. The awareness of him watching with hushed approval almost set me on fire.

Jase’s hands moved hungrily across my body. He was rough and unapologetic as he shoved me against the wall and tongued my neck. Never the one to waste time, Jase shifted his weight until I was in the air, then my back landed on the table.

His eyes bore through me as he pulled my panties to the side and ramped his length into me. I yelled out into the crisp evening air as he filled me over and over.

“I missed this pussy, Harp. I was going crazy without this shit,” Jase grunted as he slammed into me.

My body tensed as I tore my focus from his face to the night sky. It had been so long since anyone ravaged me the way Jase could. His hands clamped down on my breasts, pawing at them in the dress and bringing my focus back to him.

“Fuck, Jase!” I screamed as he pushed my legs back further and balanced against my thighs.
