“A sacred bond is the only permissible way for a god to…to be with a mortal. Or mortals,” he adds with a half-smile. “But…it’s been centuries since I’ve heard of that happening. It’s rare. Incredibly rare. I’m not…” He shakes his head, and for the first time tonight, our confident, smirking god seems to be at a loss for words. “I’m here to answer your wishes. To help you. Not get involved.”

I sit up and reach for him. My fingers slide into his dark waves, tugging just enough to make him look at me. His breath catches, his gorgeous, full lips parted. “You’re already involved,” I say. “Because we want you to be.” His throat works as he swallows hard. I lean down, my lips brushing his ear. “I don’t know anything about sacred bonds or the rules of gods. But I do know that this feels special, Luca. Like you’re meant to be here with me and Cole.”

Cole moves closer, his hand sliding around Luca’s waist. “I want you, too,” he says, his expression open, earnest. “I love Anabel, and you’re bringing us together. But we want you, too,Luca.” His thumb traces slow circles on Luca’s hip. “I’ve never been with a man before, but the things I’d let you do to me…”

A whimper escapes me before I can stop it. I nod, my fingers tightening in Luca’s hair. “I think you’re meant to do more than help us find our way to each other.”

Luca’s breath shudders out of him. He closes his eyes, leaning his head against my thigh for a heartbeat. When he pulls back, his gaze is raw, hungry. “From the moment I saw you,” he says, voice rough with emotion, “I wanted you both. The way you look at each other—it’s pure. Sweet. Real.” He reaches up and brushes my cheek, then Cole’s. “You’re both so fucking beautiful, inside and out. I can see it all when I look at you. The humour, the playfulness, the intelligence, the deep love you have for each other. So perfect. Both of you.” His jaw tightens and he’s quiet for a beat. “But it’s forbidden. I’m not supposed to—”

“But you’re allowed to grant wishes, right?” I cut in, the words tumbling out before I can second guess them. “What if this is just an extension of our wish?”

He nods slowly, eyes moving back and forth between me and Cole. “An extension of the wish.” He says it as though he’s mulling it over, testing it.

Cole’s hand slides up Luca’s back, caressing him with a tenderness that makes my chest ache. “We want you,” he says. “Please. Guide us. Fuck us.”

Luca’s breath catches. His eyes flit between us, his chest rising and falling too fast. Then he exhales, sharp, like he’s been holding his breath for years. “Yes,” he says, and I can hear the relief in his voice. “But only tonight. It can only be for tonight.”

The relief I feel is tinged with sadness that we’ll only have this one night with a man who’s a total stranger but feels like anything but.

Cole doesn’t hesitate. He leans in and kisses Luca, slow and deep and filthy. I watch them, my fingers already slidingbetween my legs, my clit throbbing under my touch. Luca groans into the kiss, his hands gripping Cole’s hips, pulling him closer.

I already know that one night won’t be enough.

Luca

I should not be doing this. I should’ve never sat on the bed. Should’ve never kissed her. Kissed him. Tasted them both.

And yet, I’m going to. I don’t think I could stop myself for anything in the world. Just for tonight, I can let myself feel and experience all the joy, all the pleasure I bring to others. For one night, I can step out into the bright sunshine of love and sex.

I’m taking a huge risk. If Jupiter finds out, he’ll smash my fountain, maybe even take my wings. The edict is clear: I’m only meant to act as a guide. Interfering with the lives of unbonded mortals is strictly forbidden.

And even if I wanted to, I can’t just conjure a bond. They happen on their own, a manifestation of fate, love, and harmony.

But surely one night…fine, yes, I’m playing with fire. But one look at Anabel and Cole, who are gazing at me with love and lust written all over their gorgeous faces, and frankly I don’t care if I get burned. I want them. Both of them. And they want me, which is the headiest thought of all.

For one night, I want to know what it feels like to belong to someone. Not just someone. Anabel and Cole. These two people—these two mortals—who’ve awakened a vicious longing in me that I don’t fully understand.

It’s a longing that feels like fate, but that…that can’t be.

Anabel rises from the bed, joining Cole and I where we stand beside it. Her hands slide up my chest, her nimble fingers working the buttons of my shirt loose. Cole’s mouth finds the curve of my neck, and his lips are warm, his breath hot against my skin. I groan, the rough, needy sound something I’ve never let myself make before. Not like this.

I turn to Anabel, cupping her face in my hands. She’s so soft, so real, her blue eyes wide and dark with need. I kiss her, slow at first, then deeper, my tongue sliding against hers. She tastes like wine and fate, like something I’ve spent centuries secretly wanting but never thinking I could actually have.

Cole’s fingers brush the waistband of my pants, and Anabel’s hands join his, working the button free. The zipper hisses as she drags it down, her touch featherlight, teasing. I shudder, my cock straining against the fabric, aching for their hands, their mouths.

“You’re so beautiful,” Anabel whispers against my lips, her voice breathless. “You and Cole are the only men I’ve ever wanted like this.”

Cole’s teeth graze my earlobe, his voice a low rumble. “We’ve both been waiting. For each other. And for you. There’s something about you that makes all of this feel…complete.”

Their words hit me like a punch to the chest. This isn’t the worship of a god. It’s raw, honest, human want. They don’t see Cupid. They see me—Luca, the man who’s been alone for thousands of years, with only fleeting encounters as a meager antidote to the loneliness that threatens to consume me.

But for tonight, I’m not lonely. Tonight, I’m theirs, and they’re mine. One night isn’t enough, but I can’t be greedy. I’ll take the gift they’re giving me tonight and savour it for centuries to come.

Anabel dips her fingers beneath the waistband of my briefs, her touch sending a bolt of heat straight to my cock. Cole pushes my shirt off my shoulders, trailing kisses down my spine. I’m coming undone, unraveling, my breath coming in sharp gasps as they work together to strip me bare.

I’ve spent lifetimes giving love to others. But this—this is different. This is mine.
