I leaned over and kissed him despite the morning breath. “I’m ready.”

His eyes darkened. “Sounds like a date. He didn’t wake all night again?”

“Nope.” I looked over at Theo’s bassinet. He slept like the dead. Never moving in his sleep. On his back. Hands above his head. I had to put my finger under his nose every hour when he first began to sleep so long. I was worried to death, but it was just our son’s way. I hoped he was always able to sleep this well, no matter what the world threw at him.

Evander looked at me. “Wanna have another one?”

I choked on my omelet. “What? Already?”

My alpha shrugged. “Whenever you want to. I will welcome as many as you’ll give me. You’re the best daddy and I love this new life.”

I turned to him. “I love this life with you. Thanks for giving me that tour.”

He chuckled. “The only time I’ve gone against the rules and I’m damned proud of it. You’ve given me life and love and a pup. What else could an alpha ask for?”

Nothing. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
