“Well.” He kisses me quickly before pulling back and grinning. “I may have managed to get us tickets to see Starboard Static next month.”

I’m so stunned that I can’t think of anything clever to say. “What?”

Ansel’s eyes are sparkling. “We’ve got tickets to go and see Starboard Static.”

“But I thought they were sold out?”

“Ah, a little fact like that can’t stop a hacker like me. I bumped some asshole politician and snagged his seats for us.”

I kiss from the hollow of his throat, up his neck, along his jaw before landing on his lips. “Fuck, I love you, butterfly.”

“I love you too, Titan.”

Starboard Static is a nineties pop-punk band that Cade is obsessed with. I found out from Neo, who did some unsolicited hacking into Cade’s playlists. I could have easily looked, but Neo was bored one day and let me know that they were playing in the city.

And now we’re seeing them live. Front row seats, too.

“This is fucking amazing!” Cade says, beaming. “I can’t believe you got me tickets!”

I lean into him, glancing at the guards surrounding us. It was the one condition Wylder gave us. We could go, but he was talking to the organizers about security. So here we are. Not entirely alone, but safe. And that’s all I care about.

“Oh my god, they’re coming on.”

The crowd erupts around us, and Cade pulls me into him, my back hitting his chest, his arms going around me. The band take their places, and the music starts, the speakers booming around us. I can feel the rumbling in my feet, and the sound of Cade singing along moves through his chest and into me.

I lean back and feel his hand move up my chest, his mouth moving to my neck. His voice is off-key, but he’s singing the words so Ican hear them. I grin and turn my face slightly, kissing him roughly as the music swirls all around us.

The set plays on, Cade happily singing along, his eyes closed, his head thrown back. His hands have snaked completely under my shirt, one slipping down to the waistband of my pants. It’s driving me crazy.

I didn’t ever think I’d be horny at a nineties concert, but here we are.

The guards are pressed up against us, and one is even bopping his head along to the tunes. If I wanted to, I could fall to my knees and get him off, but I doubt Cade would let me do that.

What I really want is Cade inside of me, but I know that’s not possible. Not here. I’m not prepared.

“What are you thinking about?” Cade asks, his lips moving against my ear.

His fingers curl against my skin, making me shiver.

“You’re warm. You okay?” I nod and swallow. “Want me to get you a drink?”

I shake my head and then arch my hips slightly.

Cade stiffens, and then I hear a chuckle come from his throat.

“You want it? Here?”

I nod again, and he licks my ear, biting the lobe softly.

“I can do that, butterfly.”

He brings his hand up to my mouth and says, “Lick.”

I glance at the guards, but they’re looking away, not making eye contact. So I do as he says, wetting his hand thoroughly. He brings it down to the bulge in my pants and slides his hand against my skin.
