Smiling sweetly, Jesse coaxed Arthur on top of him. Once Arthur was settled—one leg on either side of Jesse’s hips—he realized what Jesse meant. His eyes widened.

“Oh!”

Jesse laughed, his cheeks becoming even pinker.

“Do you want to?” he asked.

Arthur hesitated. While he and Jesse had pleasured each other with both their hands and their mouths, they hadn’t yet tried what Jesse was asking for. Arthur had been too nervous. He hadn’t ever been with a man in that way. He had even only penetrated Ella a few times before she eventually became too ill from morning sickness for them to keep being intimate at all.

“Won’t I hurt you?” he asked.

Jesse shook his head. Arthur bent low to nuzzle Jesse’s face.

“You have to tell me if I hurt you,” he said.

Jesse replied, “You won’t hurt me. I promise.”

After a brief pause, Arthur sat up.

“Alright,” he said, his stomach flip-flopping while he spoke. “Yes. Yes, I want to.”

Fighting past the sudden swell of nervousness that was making his heart pound and his limbs shake, Arthur shifted his hips to better line himself up with Jesse’s hole. He then moved to lift Jesse’s legs.

“Uhm, Arthur?” Jesse said through a laugh. “It won’t work as well without lubrication.”

Arthur’s cheeks warmed. “Oh. Right. Sorry.”

He looked away, forcing himself to bury the urge to overexplain why he had thought that he could simply slip inside without issue. Surely Jesse wouldn’t want to hear that lubrication hadn’t been a concern with Ella. Arthur shut his eyes and cringed at both his ineptitude and his naiveté.

“Don’t be embarrassed,” Jesse said warmly, nudging Arthur with his foot. “Ridiculous man.”

Arthur let out a long breath and opened his eyes. Jesse was still smiling up at him, his hazel eyes shimmering with unmistakable want and fondness. It seemed as though Arthur’s foolish blunder hadn’t ruined the mood entirely.

“Do you have Vaseline?” Jesse asked. “Or cooking oil.”

“Ehm, probably. I think we have Vaseline in one of the hall closets.”

“Cooking oil would be better. If possible.”

“I know we have some of that. But it’s in the kitchen.”

“Would you mind getting it?”

Arthur’s eyes fell to his erection. He wondered if his robe would hide it well enough. Or perhaps it would subside as he wandered through the house.

“I should have been better prepared,” he said.

“I sort of sprang this on you.”

“Yes, well, we’d talked about it a few times. I knew it was coming eventually.”

Jesse crooked an eyebrow. “Are you sure you’re not too nervous?”

“I’m sure. Iamnervous. But I want this, too. I hope that’s, ehm, obvious,” he teased, lowering his eyes to his erection. It really wasn’t budging. Despite Arthur’s trepidation, he was still very much aroused, possibly because the warmth of Jesse’s skin, coupled with the sight of Jesse’s pretty cock, was incredibly exciting, especially from this position. He climbed off. “Sorry. I’m not sure if this thing will behave while I’m still straddling you.”

“Probably not,” Jesse chuckled.

Arthur settled on the mattress beside him, and Jesse covered himself with the blanket. After a few minutes, Arthur’s erectionsubsided enough for him to put on his bathrobe and retrieve the cooking oil.
