Her lips pursed while her eyes cursed him. She was pissed but wouldn't speak on it. She was here for a reason and wouldn't leave without accomplishing her goal.
"You're such an asshole. Why are you still holding a grudge? I never did anything to you, Sao."
"If I'm such an asshole, why are you here half-naked with your hand down my pants? I'm not holding a grudge, Tee. I just know what it is with you, so I'm moving accordingly. You basically just proved my point. Common?" he questioned, laughing arrogantly.
That was the problem. She wanted to embrace the notoriety of Sao and all the perks that came along with it. That was evident from the first flash of fame he’d stepped into. He didn't give a fuck about any of the hype but she did. If she was no longer down for him,Asao, then she wouldn't get the privileges of A’so.
Tori's verbal slip flashed behind her eyes, and like always, she retreated. Instead of addressing the issue, she eased off his lap, kneeled between his legs ,and tugged at his joggers.
Asao lifted enough to assist and closed his eyes the second he felt her warm mouth cover the head. A throaty groan eased past his lips when her hands worked together to bring him tofull attention. While her mouth grew more moist and sloppy, he relaxed a little more into his sofa.
Tori's head was decent and he always gave her credit for the effort, given his length and girth, but he'd had better. He made the mistake of being honest about her skills once, when she’d asked randomly, searching for praise a while back. The realization that he wasn't impressed made her put in special effort each time she indulged.
He wouldn't complain. Even at her worst she got the job done and that was all that mattered. He briefly opened his eyes to find hers on him. The lust and determination moving across her brown and gold irises made his close. No matter how badly she wanted more, this was all they would ever be. There was no point in allowing even a sliver of hope.
An hour later he was in his pantry in search of bottles of water while Tori sulked through his living room collecting her things. Once she wriggled her way into her jeans, she planted her hands on her curvy hips to face him. With one sweeping motion, he admired her build. Tori was tall for a woman.
Her forehead aligned with his chin. The body she had been blessed with was stacked. Thick. Crazy thick and curvy. Asao had never been one for slim women. He preferred a nice soft body with plenty to hold onto like Tori’s. Everything about her was sensual and kept him hard as steel when she was around but a constant erection wasn't enough for him to let her back in.
"Can I stay and watch? I won't bother you."
His head was shaking before the words left his lips. "Nah. This is new shit and I need to focus."
"But—"
"Tori, no. You got what you came for. Don't push." His warning was verbal at first, followed by a look she knew all too well.Stop while you're ahead.Instead of debating , she foundher shirt, pulled it over her head, and tossed out another hopeful plea.
"Can I see you again, maybe this weekend? The tour ended last night, right?" She knew the answer. If Asao hadn't been the one moving from city to city every few days for the past three months, she would have known the answer better than him. Tori couldn't physically have him anymore, so she stalked his every move.
Every interview, photo shoot, club appearance. She knew about it and was the first to show love on social media. It was just fucking obsessive in his opinion but she was grown so he couldn't tell her how to live her life.
She needed to move on but Asao knew deep down she wouldn't as long as he kept allowing her an in, such as the one offered tonight. He struggled with the decision, but was selfish in a sense. She was convenient and willing. He had never been the type who was on the prowl for a release yet Tori always brought him one exactly when he needed it to be honest, so he let her.
"Nah, I have shit to do."
"But—"
"Tori. Go home. I'll hit you up." Asao’s words cut deep because she knew it was a lie. In the past year since they had been separated, not once had he requested her time. She offered it and he accepted. He never wanted the connection to be thrown in his face or for her to accuse him of using her. Or confusing things. Her moves were her decisions.
"Fine. I guess I'll see you around. My mom asked about you."
Here we go with that shit.
"Your mom doesn't fuck with me like that, Tee. Never has."
Bringing up her mother showed her desperation. A conversation with Asao, even one that would end as an argument, meant more time here, with him.
"It’s not that deep. How she felt was never about you, more about what you were into." The pensive look she offered had him chuckling under his breath. Her mom hated him and let it be known every time she was offered a chance.Low life street thug. Never gonna be shit.
He was sure she still felt the same now as she had back then. However, his recent come up might have provided her with a little more tolerance for his common thug ass.
He laughed under his breath, refusing to engage. He wanted Tori out of his space. "Tell her I said waddup then."
When he reached the door and held it open, she rolled her eyes, slipped her feet into her heels, and grabbed her coat. With a bruised ego and feelings of defeat, she breezed past him, not saying another word. He was used to the process and the attitude. Instead of being remotely moved by it, he shut and locked his door, heading right for his studio with a focused mind.

Sitting in her car,Samari pulled up her bank app to check her balance. It made no sense to be in this place but here she was. Two platinum singles and she had to check her banking app before going grocery shopping. Well, technically she didn't have to. Her money hadn't run that low yet, but she was on that path.
