“Bring him on. I got a fully loaded clip waiting on his ass. I’ll tell Nyx to let him through the gate. I told My Baby I was OG’s favorite. Let me go tell my wife how blessed I am. I’ll see you in a lil’ bit Yonnis.” Royce spoke with excitement causing nervousness to spark within me but glee to surface over Yonnis.

“If you have a minute, allow me to take you to the compound. It seems your family is eager to meet you as well,” he said standing from the table.

“Yonnis, regardless of how you’re feeling, both Atkins are clients. Act like it,” Yolani voiced.

“I got you sis. Handle that paperwork for me and call in to set up an appointment for the blood test. I’ll be back in office in a couple hours. You gon’ be straight?” he questioned finally tearing his gaze from me.

“Of course. Call if anything occurs.” With that, she grabbed the files and headed out the door leaving me and Yonnis alone.

“Let’s go. Maybe they’ll see something I can’t,” he spewed.

“Likewise. You a clown in my eyes, but I thought the longer I looked at you I’d see why you was one of the most requested niggas in the courtroom. Maybe a nigga got to be down on his ass to see it, I guess.” He wasn’t scaring shit.

Laughing, he nodded and left the conference room. I grabbed up the manilla envelope finally bringing my breathing to normal. I’d been walking on pins and needles since I entered the building. I was more than terrified for my identity being found out, but I wasn’t scared of none of them. My focus was on them damn commas and them commas alone.

We filed out the building with that nigga hopping in the McClaren that was parked by the door. As much money as the Atkins fed him, he’d better be rolling in a quarter million-dollar whip.

I climbed in my shit seconds after and was trailing him down the main road. We cruised through traffic moving in and out that bitch at a comfortable pace. When we hit the highway, it was straight go mode. He pushed that bitch, and I had to do the same. After all, I was in a Bentley Bentayga.

Notes was taken from every exit we passed. I was getting back to this compound one way or another. We drove for what seemed like a half an hour before we coming off an exit. These muthafuckas was so damn paid they had their own exit. That exitled to a private road which we stayed on for ‘bout three minutes before we came to a gate.

Too much money and don’t know what to do with it.

Yonnis spoke his peace causing the gatekeeper to look my way with curious eyes. He smirked from whatever was told and nodded. He stepped back in his booth and granted us access to the compound. Muthafuckas knew they had money flowing from trees ‘cause it made no sense how much land these niggas was sitting on. Bypassing house after house, nobody could run they mouth and say they had less than ‘round here.

The road led to another gate that Yonnis had to get out and punch a code in himself. Beyond the gates was nothing but trees. I was more excited to see how they were living than to give a fuck about Royce wanting to do me in. I was hislong-lostcousin. He wasn’t ‘bout to handle me like he thought.

Another minute passed by before we hit what I’d been waiting for. Yeah, I had my family set up and out the way, but the Atkins was put up and out the fuckin’ way for real. Seeing the house that sat in the middle, you’d think these muthafuckas was housing presidents and shit. It was luxury car after luxury car sitting in the many driveways surrounding that bitch. I understood why Bentley’s mentality was the way it was. The nigga really did come from fuckin’ royalty.

Pulling up behind Yonnis, I threw the car in park. I then grabbed the small bag of white out the arm rest and dipped my pinky inside. I rubbed it across my gums to get that boost back. That nigga Yonnis definitely blew my shit at his office. Stepping out, I waited by my ride for him, and he took his precious time. When he finally decided to step over, he was still wearing that goofy ass smile.

“You ready?” he inquired.

Knowing I had my tool on me, I returned the smile and said, “I’m just waiting on you.”

He released a low chuckle and headed for the front door. I was right on his trail with the letters in tow. He walked right into the crib without ringing a bell or knocking. He was more than just a family attorney. Hewasfamily.

He was able to enter without scolding, me on the other hand, was knocked on my ass as soon as I made it into the foyer. “Fuck nigga. Who the hell you thought you was playing with boy?”

More fists came raining down leaving me the only option to curl up like a child and protect myself. As if the blows wasn’t enough, a nigga felt nothing but weight behind every kick to my body. Whoever was getting they rocks off was getting me for old and new.

“Royce, stop. I said stop dammit!”

Damn nigga. At least let me see you face to face before putting belt to ass.

“Aye, you can shut the fuck up talking to me. Ain’t nobody do shit when the nigga came and stole from me so don’t say shit now.” I heard nothing but gasps and a metal clicking seconds later. “I should send yo’ ass to OG with the rest of yo’ crew. You took my shipment and ain’t brought back a dime of my residuals. I’m not pleased lil’ cousin,” he ranted.

A beauty coated in the purest of chocolate walked over and started gathering the letters that spilled from the envelope. Besides the vitiligo covering parts of her face, she was captivating. Her height was one of a midget it almost seemed, but it fit her. She was petite but curvaceous at the same time. I had to admit, I liked what I saw.

She looked at the letters one by one as she did so. Looking up at Royce, she said, “These are from Mama Rose. Y’all, I think this is real.”

“Heidi don’t piss me off. Get yo’ ass back over there and stay the fuck away from his thieving ass!” Royce shouted.

Heidi. A beautiful name for a beautiful woman.

“Everybody just stop I said. Young man, who are you?” The lady who yelled the first go round was speaking again.

I was still trying to get my shit together from being put on my ass. I sat up a lil’ and lost my balance. Royce lowkey made a nigga lightheaded. Shit, the way he rocked my shit, I felt like he used more than his fist to put me down. He allowed me to get to my feet. However, that was only for a few seconds before I was dropped again.
