“Please.”

I reached for the handle and unlocked it, then pulled it open to find him leaning against the door frame, one arm raised above his head. His eyes looked pained, his expression burdened by something heavy. Sadness? Fear? Or perhaps guilt?

“What’s wrong?” I asked, my eyes searching his as I frowned.

“I’m sorry. That was a lot. I shouldn’t have—” He ran a hand through his hair, visibly distressed. “How are you feeling? Do you want me to leave?”

“Leave?” I stammered. “Why would I want you to leave? Do you want to leave?”

“God, no.” He straightened; his gaze filled with confusion. He looked so lost and unsure of himself, and it didn’t suit him. “I thought… Was it okay for you?”

I took his face in my hands and stepped into him, smiling. “It was fucking amazing. Everything I had always imagined it to be, and more, because it was with you.”

He exhaled, his head dropping. “Good. Thank fuck.”

“Was it…” Now it was my turn to feel uncertain. Was I enough for him? I knew I lacked experience, but he seemed to enjoy it. “Good for you?”

His face broke into a beaming smile that lit up my world. “Si. The best I’ve ever had.”

I raised an eyebrow, a smug feeling settling in my chest. “The best?”

“Yes, Enzo, you really have no idea what you’re doing to me, do you? I’ve never felt a connection like this with anyone.”

If it was anything like what he was doing to me, I think I had some idea.

“Why did you run off?” he asked, lifting his eyes to mine. Ah shit. He thought I was spiralling because I had locked myself in the bathroom.

“I just needed a minute. A little privacy to…you know.”

A slow, cheeky smirk spread across his face. “You’re shy about letting me clean you after I just had my face buried in your ass and then my cock? You’re too fucking cute.”

“Stronzo!”I growled, hitting his chest and shoving past him. He tackled me onto the bed, and we grappled until he dominatedme, straddling my waist and pinning my hands on either side of my head. I breathed hard, glaring up at his smug, grinning face.

“You never need to feel embarrassed or hide your body from me. I would have licked you clean myself, but I was trying to be a gentleman because it was your first time.”

I scoffed, chuckling until his smile faded and his dark eyes held that seriousness that made me pause. I reached up and played with the chain between my fingers. “This looks good on you.”

“I love it. Thank you.”

“Promise me that as long as you wear it, you’re mine.”

He bit his lip, his jaw ticking as he shook his head, as if trying to hold back his desire once more. “Are you claiming me, Aiani?”

“Si.Like you just claimed me.”

He brushed his lips against mine, then pulled back and looked into my eyes. “I’m sorry for what I said. It was bad timing. I didn’t mean to freak you out.”

“You didn’t,” I whispered, holding his gaze as my heart pounded erratically. “Did you mean it?”

He gulped, his throat bobbing, but he didn’t break eye contact. “Si.”

My heart galloped. I smiled. He smiled.

“I love you too, Rossetti. I really do.” I yanked the chain, and our lips met once again.
