Breaking eye contact, his head dipped, and he sucked as much of her breast into his mouth as he could. “Oh my God,” she whimpered as he gently bit her nipple. “Baby, you feel so fucking good.”
Just when she felt like she was about to lose her mind, he released into the condom with an animalistic growl. Tech’s chest heaved up and down as he tried to catch his breath. After a few minutes of silence, he got out of the bed.
“When is your next game?”
“Saturday. It’s away in Texas.”
Tech’s head bobbed. “I have class until noon, but I might catch a flight out there.”
“Really? You’re not going to work after you leave school?”
“Belvin refuses to let me work on Saturdays, but he pays me anyway. I know my people love me and I love that, but having people basically giving me shit every time I turn around makes me feel some kind of way,” Tech confessed.
“That’s because obviously when you had it, you treated people well. Now the favor is being returned to you. Enjoy it. Some people get all they can get out of you then give you their ass to kiss. They don’t even try to repay you.”
“That’s true.”
Tech walked into the bathroom, and she heard water running. Staring at the ceiling, Blossom wished she could spend the night, but she was going to go home. Creed was there, but Chosen was still a minor, and she wasn’t comfortable spending the night away from home. When Tech entered the room and placed a warm washcloth between her legs to clean her off, she closed her eyes and suppressed a moan. A man like him was exactly what she’d been missing in her life.
When she was clean, Blossom stood up and got dressed. Tech walked her to the door and kissed her. “Text me when you gethome.” The look in his eyes let her know that if she had stayed, he would have taken her down again with no hesitation.
He was the oldest man she’d ever dated, but his stamina was something serious, and she loved that for herself. “Will do.” Blossom placed one more peck on his lips before walking out of the condo. That man that man.
On her way home, Blossom’s mind wandered to Fancy. Her friend was still going through the motions after Nick’s death. When she wasn’t at work, she was with Capo. Fancy was keeping herself busy and that was fine, but Blossom didn’t want her to force herself to go full throttle until she crashed from exhaustion. The day before, she worked a thirteen-hour shift, went home, showered, and went to the airport to catch a six-hour flight to Capo.
Blossom just wanted her friend happy and mentally okay. She couldn’t imagine witnessing someone commit suicide. Even when Fancy said she was okay, Blossom didn’t believe her, but she couldn’t force her friend to talk about it if she didn’t want to.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me,” Blossom snapped when she arrived at her house and saw Cedric’s car.
It was almost eleven p.m. There was no reason that he should have been at her home. She knew there wasn’t anything wrong with Chosen because if there was someone would have called her. Once Blossom exited her car, Cedric got out of his.
“Can I help you?” she snapped as he stood there in black jeans and a red shirt.
“Where are you coming from this time of night? Are you still dating that criminal? If this is how you’re going to be carrying on, Chosen can come live with me. Clearly all you have on your mind is chasing dick.”
Hearing him once again attempt to use her kids as a weapon, something in Blossom snapped. She stood directly in front of Cedric and raised her arm. Before he knew what hit him, shewas pepper spraying him in the face. “Get the fuck out of my yard, and don’t come back to my house!” she yelled over his screaming.
“Are you fucking crazy, bitch?” he roared with his eyes shut tight.
“Yes, I am. That was the last warning I’m going to give. Stay out of my business and stop talking to my sons about me and things that don’t concern them or you. If Chosen wants to live with you that will be his choice, but you won’t keep trying to paint me as a bad mother.”
Tears streamed down Cedric’s face as he blinked his eyes rapidly. “I can’t believe you did that. You’re fucking crazy. I should call the police.”
“Call them,” she stated in a dry tone. “You’re at my house harassing me. Don’t make me take out a restraining order. Why you’re acting like a bitter bitch I will never know, but I’m not going to tell you again to leave me alone.”
Using the tail of his shirt, Cedric wiped his face. He popped the trunk in search of a bottle of water to flush his eyes. With a smirk on her face, Blossom sauntered up the walkway to the door. She was happier than she’d been in a minute. Life was good.
With a smile on her face, Khrome gently rubbed the back of her baby’s head. She was finally able to do skin to skin with Lyric, and it was one of the best days of her life. So far, her baby had no major health concerns, and she was coming along fine. She still had a ways to go, but Khrome didn’t have any reason not to be optimistic. It was the day of Lethal’s fight, so he hadn’t been to the hospital. He wasn’t aware they could now do skin to skin,so she sent him a photo. It was a busy day for him, and Khrome wanted to support him.
She’d been super busy lately getting footage for his documentary, learning how to edit it and put it together, and creating interesting content for his social media pages. Khrome wanted him to know how appreciative she was for everything that he’d done for her. Wanting to earn the money he paid her, she took being an assistant slash brand manager very seriously. When she was at the hospital with Lyric, she would use that time to research and study various marketing tips and social media trends. A sports magazine had reached out to Lethal for an interview, and Khrome was super excited for him.
Lethal deserved every blessing that came his way. Not only was he a good person, but he was a good fighter as well. Lethal took boxing very serious. He was dedicated and disciplined. Khrome found it very sexy.
“I hate to leave you, Sweet Baby,” Khrome whispered before placing a small kiss on Lyric’s forehead. “I have to go support daddy. I can’t wait until you can come home.”
Not wanting their bonding session to end, Khrome prolonged putting her back in the incubator for as long as she could. Symphony, Averi, and Giavanna were going to the fight too. Along with Tech, his girlfriend, Mario, Tasha and a guy she was dating. It was going to be a family affair for real. God not only sent her Lethal, but he sent her Averi and Symphony. For the past few days, Khrome had been on cloud nine. Nothing could bring her down. Her and Lethal hadn’t flirted or had any acts of affection since the push party, but Khrome knew he had a lot on his mind, and she didn’t want to distract him.
Aside from their daughter, nothing was more important than the fight, and Lyric was good. Khrome wanted to play the background and be supportive. It wasn’t her objective to make Lethal’s life hard. The goal was to not make him regrettreating her like a human after what she did to him. At the house, Khrome took a shower and dressed in baggy, black cargo jeans, a mock neck, sleeveless, black shirt, and yellow and black sneakers. Khrome didn’t want to hide her freckles, so she opted for no foundation. She brushed her lash extensions and put on eyeliner and lip gloss. Her hair was in faux locs, so she didn’t have to do anything to her hair. After spraying on perfume, she clasped a watch around her wrist and put large gold hoops in her ears.
