“You’re not,” Nathan says, and I can’t stop the gasp that’s ripped from my lips.

“Shh, Cherry, listen.” Alex pulls me into his chest, pressing his lips to my temple.

“You're not a Lawson, but you’ve been my friend for long enough that I trust you. I trusted you to keep her safe, and you did.” I turn to look at Nathan, and as if he can feel my gaze, he looks my way.

The emotion in his eyes shocks me.

“It’s hard not to love Kat, so I won’t hold it against you if you do.”

“See.” I feel his lips pull up in a smug little smirk that I purposefully ignore because he was right, and at least this once, I’m more than okay with that.

He thrusts up, making me whimper as his pants press against my throbbing, battered pussy. I shouldn’t want more, but I do. They make me crave sex, this feeling of being wanted and adored, something I hadn’t thought was possible just a few months ago.

Alex chuckles, but Desmond huffs, and I hear his chair scrape across the ground a moment before he appears beside us.

“I’m all in, been in since I saw her that night at the club. I’ve dreamt of my kitten all my life, and if I don’t get my turn with her, I’m going to lose my fucking mind.” He moves behind the chair so that I’m looking over Alex’s shoulder at him.

God, he looks so sexy when he dresses up like this. I mean, they all do, but Des tends to dress down more often than the others do.

“Are you ogling me, Kitten?” Des asks, clearly having caught me, and I have no excuse. I’m surprised I’m not drooling with all these sexy men.

“And what if I am?” I bat my lashes and give him what I hope is a flirty smile.

It seems to do the trick, and I can’t help but chuckle when his eyes darken. The smile that curves his lips is one I’m all too familiar with now, and I know he’s up to something. He proves me right when he leans over Alex’s shoulder, grabbing me beneath my arms, hauling me up and over Alex and onto his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

“Des!”

Not surprisingly, he ignores me, moving down the table and toward the door.

“Meetings over, get it together.” He pauses in the doorway, looking back at the others over his other shoulder. “Or don’t. Then there’s less assholes I have to share her with.”

Turning back around, he heads out the door and down the hall.

“I’ve got dessert to eat.”

It takes everything for me to stay in my seat and watch Desmond leave with Kat over his shoulder, dangled before me like a taunt. My cock strains in my pants, pants that I really might have to toss out now, but it was worth it.

The sounds she makes, the faces—everything about her is perfection. Watching her with them is sexy as fuck, but seeing her like that for me…

Words can’t properly describe the feeling.

“So,” Nathan turns his attention to Oliver and Vince, whose attention is still turned toward the hall.

It’s silly that we have to do this, that either one of them needs a ‘family meeting’ in order to admit what they want.

I’d hoped that the contract would be enough for Oli. It had been a great idea, one she offered all on her own, and while I think it helped, I see the hesitation in his eyes.

He turns to look at Nathan, and for the first time since she moved into the house, that hesitation is gone.

Vince offers Nathan a nod, and I roll my eyes. How hard is it to speak? To simply say he’s in or not, wants to be a part of this family officially.

‌Vince and I have never been the best of friends, but I like him well enough; he’s good at his job, a good friend to my brother, and, despite his flawed personality, good with kids. He loves Addy and was a big help with Oli and Des when they were younger, since Nathan and I were still forced to spend long days at the office.

He’s just an asshole, but given the choice of siblings, I’d still take him over…

“By all means, move at whatever speed you think will work for you with her,” Nathan says, pulling me from my thoughts, and I tune back in. “I just needed to ensure she wasn’t going to have her feelings hurt if either of you were to walk away. Kat has a big heart, and it’s obvious she already has feelings for both of you, even if only just starting. I won’t allow her to be hurt, not even by my own flesh and blood.”

He gives them both a pointed look before he reaches for my wine bottle, snagging it by the neck, and turns to leave, walking to the glass door and out into the backyard.
