“What the fuck did you do to her?” he barked at them.

“Who is he yelling at, sister?” Minnie asked while looking at Tiny with her head tilted to the side and an amused grin on her lips.

“Himself. If he wants to be mad at anyone, he should be mad at himself for not paying attention to his mate,” Tiny responded coolly while shooting daggers at Yves.

“Clearly, he’s acting like that one over there,” Minnie snickered while looking at Cree.

“Don’t put me in that. I’ve been taking care of Halo,” Cree rebutted with a frown on his face.

“Now. We weren’t too sure a year ago.” Tiny rolled her eyes at Cree. “It seems we have been worried about the wrong brother. Yves, this darkness you are trying to ignore will continue to grow in Zamiyah. You are the only one who can help her fight it.”

“How?” Cree asked sorrowfully with his eyes glued on a sleeping Zamiyah.

“Light and Darkness can mix as long as there is a balance. A balance of harmony, Yin and Yang, is the perfect peace,” Minnie responded while looking at Yves.

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” Yves grumbled slowly as he raised his head to look at the sisters.

“Come with me. She needs to rest,” Minnie responded, ignoring Yves' question.

Yves looked at Tiny with a hardened expression. He took a deep breath before he followed Minnie with a frown on his face. Silently, we all watched the three of them disappear out of the restaurant.

“Delcan, you and Naiobi will be needed in the Feline Kingdom soon.Theyare ones who need guides from you two,” Tiny said to Delcan, and he nodded his head in acknowledgment. “The four of you have connected paths. Good for two is good for all. The Sanctuary of Life is not only forBellamy’s peace but Halo’s truths. That’s where you need to be,” Tiny said while looking between Cree, Halo, Kenzo and me.

“We don’t even know how to get there,” Kenzo replied with defiance. It was clear he still didn’t want to go.

Smirking at him, Tiny shook her head. “You are worse than that one over there. If Fate is guiding you, you can never be lost. Allow Fate to lead you where you need to be.” After a few seconds of looking at all of us, Tiny gave her full attention to Kenzo again. “Your deepest wishes lie on the journey there. Don’t be a fool,” Tiny said with finality and vanished right before all of our eyes.

“Delcan, do you think you and Yves will be okay if I go with Halo to The Sanctuary of Life?” Cree asked while looking at Delcan.

“We’ll be good. Besides, like Tiny said, we have Fate on our side. Nothing to be scared of,” Delcan replied calmly.

“I guess we leave for The Sanctuary in the morning,” Cree said with a look of uncertainty on his face.

Was I nervous? Absolutely, the more things felt real for me. I was starting to understand how serious this entire situation was. I wanted to know about who I was and what my role was in the Prophecy more than I was afraid. Hearing we were going with no rebuttal from Kenzo made my night. I would hold off on fucking Kenzo up for letting that bird bitch all over him… for now.

Chapter Eighteen

KENZO ATALLAH

The frownon my face couldn’t be hidden if I wanted it to as we walked toward the ends of the Kismet packlands. We had no idea where we were going. We were just going in a direction, adding to my aggravation. My bear was trying to reassure me that everything was going to work out, but I couldn’t help the worry that lingered.

I was aware that Bellamy and Bellum were two different shifters. Bellum was completely different. For lack of better words, she was a hoe. Sex was the only thing Bellum truly cared about. Obviously, Bellamy was nothing like Bellum. However, Bellum came from Bellamy. She was the darkness put inside of her. I felt like Bellum’s hoeness had to come from some part of Bellamy. I couldn’t help but worry that some of Bellum’s hoe tendencies were left behind in Bellamy. I mean, the way she sucked our dick like a pro with no experience? Don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t complaining about my mate knowing how to pleasure me, but my mind couldn’t help wondering “what if.”

Bellamy isn’t Bellum.

I hear you,I grumbled to my bear. He wasn’t as worried as I was. He seemed to be okay with Bellamy wanting to go see this shifter.

“Hold up,” Cree said with his arm stretched out, stopping Halo from moving forward and halting Bellamy and our steps.

“What’s wrong?” I asked while picking up on the creaking of branches on the forest floor.

Cree nodded his head ahead of us. Looking in the direction Cree pointed, I could make out two dark figures coming in our direction. I pushed Bellamy behind us, and Cree did the same with Halo. We prepared for the worst, ready to protect our mates at all costs. The closer the figures got, the more we could make out the familiar faces. Confusion filled me as I looked at how disheveled Millan looked.

“Hendrix? What the hell is going on?” I asked, concerned and forgetting all about the issues between us. His mate Millan looked as if she’d just come from a battlefield.

“Please, Kenzo. I come in peace,” Hendrix spoke while pulling his mate deep into his side. “I couldn’t do it,” he said while peering down at Millan. “I love her too much.” Tears made Hendrix’s eyes appear to be watery.

“Is she okay?” Halo asked before breaking free from Cree. He tried to pull her back, still unsure of Hendrix, as he should have been since he was speaking in riddles. Halo dodged Cree’s attempt to grab her and made her way over to Millan. Halo began looking her over as much as she could.
