“Roselee, you know her?” Yves asked with skepticism.

“I do. This is my daughter,” she answered with her attention on Bellamy’s unconscious body in our arms.

“No time like the present for a family reunion, is there?” Minnie asked as she appeared right next to us. “Yves, call your brothers. We need to get everyone on the same page.” Minnie smiled warmly at all of us.

“What the hell is going on?” I barked at Minnie while still cradling Bellamy’s limp body in our arms.

Minnie tilted her head to the side. “It’s time for truths to be revealed,” she answered with a wink. “Come. Let’s get her somewhere comfortable to lay. It will be a few hours before she wakes.” Minnie motioned for us to follow her, and at this point, we had no other options.

We had no idea what Fate had going on, but our mate had better wake up unharmed or all hell was going to break loose. Fuck whatever prophecy they were trying to fulfill.

Chapter Twelve

BELLAMY ROSE

“Oh,my beautiful babies. I swear if there was another way, I would do it, but we have to trust Fate is going to bring us back together,” my mom said with tears steadily falling from her face as she hugged me then my younger sister Brynlee.

So many things were going on around us that I couldn’t even begin to process any of it. My best friend had vanished. Distraught over the loss of her father, she ran without telling anyone. Now, my mom was telling Brynlee and me we had to go away for a while. What the hell did any of this mean?

“Go where? We don’t want to leave you and Dad.” I frowned in an attempt to hold back my own tears. Brynlee was already bawling her eyes out. I had to be the strong one.

“I don’t know, but it’s for both your safety. Fate has chosen our family to fulfill The Great Prophecy. We shou?—”

“I don’t care about a prophecy when it’s tearing our family apart!” I screamed, my emotions getting the best of me. I would never raise my voice at my mom on any other day. She could easily knock me on my ass. Not only was she a powerful Grandeur Mage, but my dad being our pack’s enforcer taught her how to defend herself.

“Bellamy Rose, I understand you are upset, but respect me. Have I ever allowed any harm to come to either of you?” our mom asked us while looking between Brynlee and me. Her face was stern, cheeks still wet from her tears.

Our mom was beautiful. Every shifter often mentioned how much I favored her and that I favored her the most. I didn’t see it, aside from us both sharing similar chinky green eyes. That was as far as it went. My mom’s loose curly locs were slowly turning white, and white markings were slowly beginning to form down her arms. She said it was a part of the Grandeur Mage lineage. Apparently, the more white, the more Fate was pleased with you or something like that.

“I’m sorry, Mom. I just don’t understand.” My voice was filled with desperation.

“Mom, I don’t want to be away from you or Bellamy,” Brynlee cried as she grabbed my hand, holding it tight.

“I know, baby girl, but you won’t even remember. It will be so quick. A flash and we’ll be reunited. I promise,” our mom said as tears once again fell down her face.

“Are you ready?” a warm calming voice coming from behind my mom asked.

Looking behind our mom, we noticed a woman floating behind her. She was short, not pixie short but shorter than your average shifter. She was stunningly beautiful with onyx-colored skin. She didn’t look any older than my mom; however, I could sense she was older beyond any of our years. Her white glowing eyes filled with compassion as she looked at the three of us.

“Is this Fate in the flesh?” I asked while still staring at her in awe.

“No, my child. I am the one sent by Fate to guide you and your family. Have peace. Your mother will have a piece of you. The memories you share will be gifted back to you. It will feel asif no time has passed.” The being smiled warmly at us. “Are you ready?” she asked again.

“We are,” our mom answered for us. My heart beat erratically as the woman’s hand came out to touch us, and everything went black.

When I opened my eyes, I was back in the darkness I hadn’t been in since I was with Kenzo. Like clockwork, I waited for the glow of the woman I apparently met when I was younger. There were so many memories flashing through my brain as things slowly came back to me.

“You remember me from when I walked in the living world.”

“I guess I do,” I replied halfheartedly because I was still trying to process all the memories that were coming back to me, memories that I didn’t have but I remembered like I was there.

“You were the last one I was able to help before my sister took my life.”

“Wait. Your sisters have been coming around.”

“Calm down, my dear. Neither Tiny nor Minnie is the sister who took my life. Meeny. She has been twisted and destroyed by evil. When you see her, you will know. However, you hear her. She tries to whisper to you to deceive you. Don’t be fooled.” She winked at me. “It’s time for you to wake up. You need to remember everything.”
