“It’s the weekend and the only plans I had was to do some housework and go get groceries.”
“Hold off on that,” he said as he pulled his wallet, withdrew some money, and tossed it on the table.“Order in, you’re not going to want to go anywhere once you open that file.Oh, and Petra,” he said as he waited for her to look at him. When she did, he nodded.“No written notes.”He tapped the side of his head.“Memory only.”
“Got it,” Petra nodded.“One question.”
“What’s that?”
“Does what I’m about to read have anything to do with why you want me to work undercover with you now?”
“No, I’ll explain when you contact me.It’s all on the up and up, I swear, and Flynn and Kessler are about eighty percent on board.”
“Why only eighty percent.”
“I’ll tell you when you contact me.”He grinned then leaned down and kissed the side of her head.“Until later.”He turned on his heel and strode to the door.Once there, with his hand on the knob, he turned back to her with a grin.“Keep the pizza, I know how much you love cold pizza, and lock up after I leave.”He stepped out, then knocked on the door and opened it to stick his head in.“Lock up.”
“Yes, Sir,” she gave him a salute as she hurried to the door, shoving it closed in his face and grinned from her side of it when she heard him laugh. She locked it, then slid to the floor, hugging herself, trying to make heads or tails of what had just transpired. With a shake of her head, she rushed to pick up from their dinner, and after grabbing another bottle of water, she headed to her office. It took twenty minutes to do what she needed before she sat down, fired up the computer, and put in the numbers Psycho had given her, then started reading.
Six hours later, Petra sat back with her hands on the back of her neck and stretched.“Holy shit,” she whispered into the darkened room, only lit by the computer screen. She glanced at the bottom corner and saw it was after two in the morning. She shook her head as she closed all the tabs, and then finally the laptop. To say her brain was in overload with all the information would be an understatement. If this report had been made into a movie for TV, she never would have believed in the plot line.It was a great plot, but she didn’t think it could have happened in real life, now she wasn’t so sure.Instead of calling Psycho now, she decided to wait and let what she read sink in for a few hours.By the time she made it to the bed, exhaustion hit, and she was out before her head even hit the pillow.
Chapter 6
“Hello?”Psycho barkedinto the phone, not bothering to look at the caller ID.He had been working on his Harley all morning, and had spilt the oil all down the front of him and was now just stepping out of the shower from cleaning up.
“It’s Petra,” came the sweet sounding voice in his ear, and he looked down as his cock became instantly hard beneath the towel he wore.“Did I catch you at a bad time?”
“No, I’m good.What’s up?”
“I’m ready to talk if you are.I know it’s Sunday afternoon, but that was a lot of shit to process.”
“Yeah.I can be at your place within the hour.”
“Okay, since I didn’t purchase groceries, and I have no food in my house, what would you like?I’ll call it in?”
“Beef fajitas from the Mexican place. The meal that comes with the rice and beans.”
“Okay, it’ll be here waiting for you.”
