I sag in his embrace and take a nice, deep calm breath. I wanted so hard to please him that I completely forgot one of the rules.
“Does Julan have the same rules?” Chale asks. “Not allowing your pet to reply without first checking you?”
“I don’t know. I haven’t spoken to Julan since we first got our girls,” Daddy replies. “I would suspect that he would be the same, but he could have a lot of different rules for his pet.”
“How is she?” I ask Daddy, not paying attention to what he just said.
Daddy chuckles. “I don’t know, but Julan will not hurt her. He will only give her spankings or put her in timeout if she is naughty, just like you.”
My cheeks flush red as I push my face back into his chest. I want to argue that I’m not naughty, but getting a spanking proved otherwise. I have been naughty, and it kind of felt good.
“Has Adryn been really naughty?” Chale asks.
FIFTEEN
I wait for Daddy to answer, wanting to know what he is going to say.
“Adryn can be naughty at times, but so far she hasn’t been too bad,” Daddy replies. “But yours could be a lot different than mine. I’ve heard they are all different. Yamal was surprised that Adryn was different from Luna, the other girl.”
Do they not understand that no human being is the same? They are in for a rude awakening when they meet the other girls. I shudder at the thought.
Daddy runs his hands up and down my back and arms, warming me while simultaneously calming me. Chale looks around the room, and his eyes stop at the curtains.
“I thought you liked the windows open?” Chale asks. “You always have them open whenever I come over and in your office.”
My grip tightens around Daddy as my nerves skyrocket. Chale stands, and I suck in a breath, pushing my face into Daddy’s chest. Everything is going to be okay.
“My Little companion is deathly afraid of heights, so we keep the curtains closed,” Daddy explains.
I peek over at Chale to see his eyebrows raised. He’s stopped walking and looks genuinely shocked by the information.
“But she was on a space station,” Chale points out.
I don’t know how I survived on the space station when there were so many windows to look out of. I would have rather been enclosed in a space with no windows, but nothing is ever in my favor. Not that they could do anything once they realized I was afraid of heights. The space station was already built, and they couldn’t just magically change how it was done. They could have put something over them, but I never asked since I didn’t know if they had anything to use as curtains. I also know several girls who would sit at the window and stare out of them.
I don’t know how they did that when it was a void. If anything happened, we would die by just going out into the black space.
“She was, and she didn’t look out the window. Poor baby threw up when I tried to get her to look out.” Daddy ran his hands through my hair. “I thought we could do some therapy and show her a little bit of the skyline with her in my arms so she could get used to it, but she was absolutely terrified. I couldn’t continue to do it once she threw up.”
I shiver and bury myself even farther into Daddy, not liking that we are even talking about it. I don’t want to think about how high we are and how at any second we could plummet to the ground and die.
“Hey, Little companion. Take a deep breath for Daddy and slowly let it out.” Daddy cups my face as we make eye contact. “Good girl. I want you to take two more big breaths and slowly let them out. Good.”
My whole body sags against Daddy, all my energy taken out of me. Today has been absolutely exhausting.
“Is every human afraid of heights as much as she is?” Chale asks. “It might prove difficult if they are.”
“You can answer Chale,” Daddy gently says in my ear.
“No,” I mumble, feeling extremely weak in the moment. “Not all of them are.”
From what I heard, there were only two other people on our wing who didn’t like heights. I don’t know if they were as severe as I since I didn’t talk to them.
“Chale, can you grab a bottle from the fridge?” Daddy asks.
Before I can say anything, Daddy has me lying on his back, my head in the crook of his arm, my breasts on full display. Does Daddy not care that he is showing off what is his? But he doesn’t seem to be as Chale comes back into the room and hands Daddy the bottle.
When am I going to get real food? Am I ever?
