Hair falling around his face, Connor leaned down, pressing his lips against Leyden’s. Their bodies were moving together as if they were made for each other, which Leyden already knew they were. He stroked down Connor’s back, finding the dip of his spine before gripping Connor’s ass.

“That feels…” Connor groaned against Leyden’s mouth.

“Good?”

“Sooo good.” Connor rocked harder, chasing the sensation.

Leyden slid his hands around to Connor’s chest, and found his nipples. He rolled them between his fingers the way Connor had done to him.

Connor’s whole body shuddered. “Oh.”

“You like that, too.” Leyden coughed to remove his growl. Connor in passion was incredible.

“Yeah. I didn’t know…” Connor broke off with a moan as Leyden pinched lightly.

Filing that bit of information away, Leyden kissed Connor’s jaw, and throat. He made his way around to where his claiming scar stood proud and sucked on it.

Connor cried out, hips stuttering. “Leyden…”

“Still okay?” Leyden pulled back to check Connor’s face. “Do you want to stop?”

“Don’t you dare stop.” Connor grabbed Leyden’s hand, pressed it more firmly against his chest. “I want…I want more.”

“Tell me what you need.”

“I don’t know yet.” Connor kissed him again, messy and desperate. “Show me. Please.”

Chapter Twenty-Nine

Leyden’s kisses spread all over his face, grounding Connor in a way he didn’t expect. He was still nervous, but his arousal was higher than it had ever been in his life and that was knocking his nervousness back with a slap.

“We don’t have to do everything tonight.” Leyden’s growl sent shivers down Connor’s spine.

“I know.” Connor tilted his head back, giving Leyden more room. “I want to. I want to know what it’s like with you inside me.”

The words came easier than he’d expected – probably because they were the unvarnished truth.

Leyden’s eyes were so dark they were almost black. Heat flooded through their bond - sharp, intense desire that made Connor’s breath catch.

“You’re sure?”

“Absolutely.” Connor straightened and met those eyes. “I trust you.”

Something shifted in Leyden’s expression. Tenderness mixed with hunger. He cupped Connor’s face and kissed him – this time soft and deep. Love poured through the bond. An overwhelming, all-consuming love that Connor was still learning to accept, but it warmed his soul and settled his wolf.

“Lie down for me, hon,” Leyden said against his mouth.

Connor shifted, stretched out on the bed, the nerves in his belly fluttering as Leyden grabbed the lube from the nightstand drawer. Connor tried to regulate his breathing – almost impossible with what he knew was going to happen. Because it was…This is really happening.

Leyden positioned himself between Connor’s legs. The vulnerability of the position made Connor’s skin prickle with awareness.

“Tell me if anything hurts or if you want to stop.”

“I will.”

Connor watched Leyden slick his fingers. Long, strong fingers that had held him and protected him for weeks.

“I can either prop your butt up on pillows, or if you roll to one side and lift your top knee toward your chest, that might be easier for you.”
