“Okay. Will do.”
“We’ve got a lot of money on the line,” she reminds me.
“I know.”
“Well, have a great weekend. Check in whenever,” she says.
“Thanks, Lindsay. You too.”
I hang up the phone, shaking off the feeling of someone looking at me and only seeing a payday. I’ve never personally experienced this feeling before—but, man, does it make me feel bad for Connor Yates.
Use it, I tell myself.
Use every ounce of it.

RE:Last night
Hi,
I read your stuff. You nailed it. Really. It was scary; it felt almost like you were in my head. And I appreciate you leaving out the STD part. But you made Melinda seem just as skeevy. You almost don’t need the STD thing on top of it—I think it would be too much.
So, what do you think is going to happen with Connor and Presley now?
P.S.—I can’t wait till tomorrow night either!

RE:Last night
Hi,
Wow—that was quick! Thank you for reading it so fast. I’m glad you felt comfortable with it. I didn’t really feel like I could continue unless it had your stamp of approval.
I’m not sure what’s going to happen with them yet. I feel like it might be too soon for them to have sex…although, she really wants to sell him that apartment… What do you think?

I say go for it. He wants it. She wants it. Why not?
