The knob screeched as Raxx opened the door. The air in the office was incredibly warm and humid, hitting him like a wall as he entered. He could barely see, the room clouded with dense steam.

“Tab?”

Raxx edged his way into the room, knocking his shin against a wooden chair he hadn’t seen until it was too late. He hissed and bent to rub the sore spot.

“Careful now,” Tabitha laughed from somewhere nearby.

“What in Hestaesia is going on in here?” Raxx asked with a scowl as he began cautiously proceeding forward once more.

“I’ve been gifted a new plant. It comes from a plane with a much hotter, more humid atmosphere than ours.”

Raxx jolted as a hand was placed against his back. His head whipped down to see Tabitha – in Indi’s body – beside him.

The witch had dressed the young faerie in a simple white dress, made from a thin silk-like material. Though it was loose fitting, it left nothing to the imagination as Raxx, feeling suddenly uncomfortable, noticed the damp material had become rather see-through.

“Come, have a look.” Tabitha smiled up at him, her yellow eyes shining with excitement. She grabbed his hand and led him forwards through the fog.

“What is it?” Raxx asked as he was shown to the most unusual plant he had ever seen. It towered above even him, large, waxy leaves seeming to flutter in a non-existent breeze. They were so dark in places, they almost appeared to shine navy blue in the light. All over, there were round, shining bulbs that looked fit to burst into some untold flower, or perhaps fruit.

“It’s wonderful, is what it is.” Tabitha clapped her hands together. “The uses I will have for this are endless.”

The witch stroked her hand lovingly against one of the large leaves. Its surface shimmered, a faint golden sparkle dancing beneath her touch.

“How did you come to own... Whatever it is?”

“None of your business. What matters is I did and I love it,” Tabitha cooed.

As Raxx found his eyes unwittingly drawn to the thin dress once more, he cleared his throat and stared across the room into the dense steam.

“Something on your mind, demon?” the witch purred.

“Whilst I am certain you do not care that your dress is see-through, you’re currently wearing the body of a girl my king considers a younger sister.”

Tabitha glanced down at Indi’s chest, plucking the wet fabric away from her breasts. “Delicious, aren’t they?”

“Tab,” Raxx groaned, fighting to keep his gaze averted.

“I will be very saddened to eventually give this vessel up,” the witch sighed, smoothing her hands down over Indi’s breasts. “It garners me so much more attention. It’s addictive.”

“Moreattention? How is that even possible?” Raxx laughed.

“I know, it’s mind-boggling. Perhaps it’s the faerie wings – maybe, once I am done with Indi, I will fashion a pair of my own,” Tabitha mused, still absently stroking Indi’s body.

“Will you stop that? It’s making me uncomfortable,” Raxx scolded.

Tabitha giggled. “Fine, accompany me through to my boudoir whilst I change.” She crooked her fingers at him and, after a moment of hesitation, the demon followed obediently.

Raxx sighed with relief as they stepped from the humidity of the office into the crisp, cold darkness of Tabitha’s private room.

She snapped her fingers and the bedroom lit up, candles and a fireplace roaring to life with bright crimson flames.

“Make yourself comfortable, I won’t be a moment.” She sauntered behind a privacy screen, hips swaying sensually. Raxx sat on the edge of a large bed, cloaked in red silk sheets, and kicked his long legs out in front of him.

“How are things progressing with your princess?” Tabitha called, as the white dress was thrown to hang over the top of the screen.

The best part of a week had passed by without issue. Raxx feared he was becoming rather content with the new routine of collecting Faye after the guard’s last rounds and spending quality time with her in his chambers before delivering her to Tabitha. The only dark spot blighting his enjoyment was the glaring issue that he was still no closer to unravelling the mystery as to why he and Faye could never touch.

“So, so,” Raxx replied before quickly changing the subject. “Are you ever going to tell me why you’re inhabiting Indi’s body?”
