The fast beat, the heavy percussion, and the electric buzz all make for an exhilarating performance. Recoil sure knows how to rock, and knowing them personally only makes this so much more enthralling.
I glance up to the stage to see Ryan strumming his guitar. The electric sounds send waves of elation tingling over my skin. It prickles my senses, forcing the hairs on my arms to stand on end. The energy in the room buzzes around me, and the music isso loud that it ignites a fire inside me—a love for music I didn’t know I had until I met Ryan.
Watching his fingers delicately dance on the strings, I swallow hard and clench my thighs together. Something about the way he moves with his instrument is turning me on. The manner in which his fingers stroke so effortlessly on the strings reminds me of the way his fingers feel on me, the way he touches me. My clit throbs in time with the beat, and my nipples harden as I watch Ryan make love to his guitar, wishing, like anything, he was playing me instead.
“It’s such a turn-on, isn’t it?” Lunar shouts at me over the music, breaking me from my trance.
I jump slightly and turn to face her, breathing quickly. “Sorry, what?”
“Watching the guys perform. Makes your knickers wet, right?” she asks with a knowing smirk.
“Yeah, definitely. I’ve seen them perform before, sure, but in a live stadium like this? I don’t know, there’s just something about it that’s… that’s—”
“Clit tingling?” she answers for me.
I laugh, and she nods emphatically. “Yes, exactly.”
“I love watching them live,” Lunar admits.
“Shit, I was so caught in the moment I almost forgot.” I pull out my cell as they finish the song and bring up their socials to live stream as they start another song. The crowd erupts into a flurry of appreciation.
Lunar stands next to me, but we say nothing, so our voices don’t carry over to the video as we watch the live comments roll in. Hundreds and hundreds of fans comment one after the other. They’re coming in so fast that I can hardly keep track of reading them. I glance at Lunar, and she’s grinning wide, so wide I can practically see the pride oozing from her pores.
The comments are great, mainly praise, and are from a variety of people. However, one person keeps popping up a little too often, and all of her comments are focused on Ryan. Mainly on how the camera needs to get closer and focus more on him. I can’t help but think whoever this person is has a mega crush on Ryan. It’s cute but also a little weird because of the way she’s so persistent. She sends another comment about how Ryan is the most handsome guy alive, and I point it out to Lunar. She giggles, shaking her head as we keep watching the feed.
More comments roll in, and more from the girl.
Her username is#Hunter’sGirl, which is weird, considering that’s Ryan’s last name.
Hunter’sGirl:I love Ryan. He looks so amazing on stage, and he loves me. I just know it!
I furrow my brows and point to it as it quickly scrolls upward. Lunar creases her eyebrows and shakes her head, mouthingWacko, and I nod, rubbing my temple slightly.
Hunter’sGirl:We’re going to meet one day, and he’s already in love with me for sure! We will get married and have an amazing life together, you’ll see! This WILL happen!
I scrunch up my brows again, shaking my head. I take a deep breath and watch as another comment comes quickly after.
Hunter’sGirl:His flesh will mold with mine. We will forever be entwined with each other, not just spiritually but physically and in every way. We are one, both body and soul, to be joined for all eternity. I will link him to me permanently. Ryan, you are MINE.
Lunar can’t hold back her scoff, and I wince slightly while the song ends, but then I shake my head. I figure this is a littletooweird, and people on the feed don’t need to see messages like that. It needs to stop. So I end the feed, since the song has finished anyway, and make sure the video stops as the guys start another song.
Lunar spins to me as I exhale.
“What the fuck was that?” I ask, and Lunar shakes her head.
“Fucking hell! That chick was an A-grade freak show.”
“I know! Thank God the song ended, or I would’ve had to stop the stream mid-song. The rest of the viewers wouldn’t have liked that.”
Lunar sighs. “Do you think we need to tell Oliver?”
“Yes, and Declan. It’s probably nothing, but you can’t be too cautious. Now that the guys are gaining fame, the freaks will get weirder. That’s for sure.”
“You stay and watch. I’ll go find Oliver and Declan,” Lunar says, turning and rushing off before I have a chance to say anything further.
Taking a deep breath, I wonder whether I should tell Ryan about his crazed fan.
Or whether it’s safer for him to be in the dark about such crazy shit.
