Mothman pushed his arm out and snatched up the key. He shimmied it in his lock and it fell to the ground with a thunk. He crawled out and then stood up to his full height, stretching his back. His arms extended out and his wings shuddered under his coat before they flew out from his jacket.

Large, impressive, gray-black wings with red false eyes fluttered. A soft breeze smelling of smoke and leather reached me. Caspian’s eyes moved over the wings in intrigue.

“Hurry up,” he mumbled. Mothman popped his fingers and then squatted down in front of my cage. I wrapped my hands around the bars while he unlocked the door. It swung open and I flung myself in his arms, inhaling his smell and sinking into his comforting presence. I clung to him, inhaled his scent, and buried my face in his leather coat.

Pollux dropped the key and pressed both hands into my hair, claws scratching my scalp. He pulled his hat off and his feathery antennae came down and caressed my cheeks as I pressed harder into him, my arms wrapping tightly around him.

“I’m still locked in a cage you know,” Caspian said with seeming indifference. Pollux ignored him, sweeping his hands down my back until his fingers gripped my ass, hitching me against him until we were squished tight.

“Let me out,” Caspian hissed in agitation, his patience worn out. Pollux held my face in his hands for a moment, then he reached down and plucked up the key. He sighed as I moved off him and then he went to Caspian, squatting down in front of the cage. As soon as the lock thumped to the ground, Caspian bolted out and towards me, tackling me to the ground as he flung his arms around me, gripping me tightly in desperation.

“Ava,” he whispered, his mouth pressing to the crown of my head as he squeezed me too tightly. I wrapped my arms around him and he gave a sigh of satisfaction. Pollux stepped over top of us, his boots in a wide set on either side of our tangled legs. He looked like a giant as he hovered above us, looking down with a cocked head. His antennae twitched as he looked on in interest.

Caspian pulled me up his body, his mouth finding mine, his large hands cradling my face as he pressed the most soul-filled kiss he’d ever given. He moaned into my mouth, his tongue pressing in frantically.

Pollux squatted down close, pressing his elbow into his thigh as he rested his face on his fist and watched. I couldn’t keep my eyes closed.Mothmanwas straddling us, watching as Caspian attempted to eat my face while mumbling my name over and over. Caspian didn’t seem to care or mind at all, which made my heart thump a little faster.

I closed my eyes and shuddered as Caspian traced my face with his fingers. We hadn’t touched since they’d captured him. Since we had breakfast the day before last.

Finally, a notebook slapped down on us and Caspian sighed and pulled back. I held up the notebook while Pollux tapped his own face with a pen.

“We should try to break out… don’t you think?” He had scribbled sarcastically. Caspian sighed, snatched the notebook from me, and flung it at Pollux’s face. He scrambled to catch it as Caspian slid out from beneath him and popped up. Pollux shoved the notebook in his jacket and then bent down, wrapping his arms around me.

Soft fur brushed my face as he pulled me off the ground. I clung to him while he placed me on the bed gently, running his fingers over my mouth before he pulled away to help Caspian try to rip the metal off the window. No matter how they tried it wouldn’t work though.

“What about Makwa?” Caspian asked with a defeated sigh, looking over at me. I shook my head.

“There’s iron, like the cage,” I offered. For some reason, with Makwa in me, I could sense iron. Pollux nodded and Caspian sighed, looking over the room. They spent the next half hour fruitlessly yanking and scratching at every loose spot in the room. I tried to help but there wasn’t much that could be done. None of us made any progress. It appeared the room had been reinforced to be able to hold us for quite some time.

They didn’t give up but at some point, I ate some of the food and rested my head. I drifted off as I watched them, my eyelids growing heavy.

What seemed like a moment later, Pollux was sliding in bed, his fingers running up the length of my leg under the skirt. The fabric bunched up as he caressed me from ankle to hip, settling in front of me. It was a lovely way to be woken up.

Not to be left out, Caspian quickly crawled up the bed with predatory eyes flashing. Even when in this form, he looked more than human. He was a little too attractive and his brown eyes a little too hungry. He laid half on top of me, half behind me, his fingers brushing hair from my neck so he could pepper the area with kisses. His tongue traced the permanent bite mark he’d left me with.

I felt hot with them both so close, surrounding me, their hands on me.

“What do we do?” I asked with a sigh, relaxing into their touches and warmth as if I were relaxing in a warm bath.

“Right now we do this. I’ve missed your touch,” Caspian mumbled against my skin. Pollux agreed with his hand trailing higher, making the dress pool at my waist. Caspian’s lips were replaced with sharp teeth gently grazing down the length of my neck. One of his hands slid around my waist and then spread over my breast. He gripped my flesh tightly, his hips pressing against my ass as he buried his face in my hair.

Pollux leaned back slightly to look us over with an appreciative hum before he came in close again. Feathery antennae brushed my cheeks and lips, making them part open. His hands began to roam until he gripped my other breast, both of them working together to give my chest a tight squeeze.

Pollux’s tongue slid into my mouth and wrapped around my tongue, undulating with squeezes. Caspian pushed one of his legs between mine, his thigh brushing against my core. I rubbed against it and a small groan of appreciation rumbled from his mouth, reverberating against my neck.

They were both so close, all their hands on me. The air was hot and thick. Warmth bloomed all over my body, a welcome comfort from days that felt cold in the cage, unable to touch them. I became dizzy and then tense, locking up with unease all of a sudden.

They both immediately noticed and pulled back. Pollux tipped his head to the side in question, his fingers brushing my cheek with concern.

“Relax, Ava,” Caspian said. “There’s nothing we can do right this moment. Tomorrow we'll escape.”

“Brandon’s not okay,” I said, twisting on my back so I could see both of them. “I’m worried.” Caspian’s eyes darted away.

“I’m worried too,” he admitted quietly, as if embarrassed that he felt anything for anyone other than me. I held his face in my hands and gave him a watery smile. The circumstances were bad but this was something positive. Caspian was learning to expand his circle of feelings, to let others in.

“You care for Brandon?” He asked me. Pollux huffed in entertainment like the question was silly and the answer obvious. I felt emboldened to be honest because of his quick acceptance.
