"This?" She turned, chest-high in the water. "It's just something I had lying around."

"Like hell it was. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be shot."

"Rather you didn't." She pushed her opal hair back, lifting her breasts just out of the water. "My best friend designed this. Thought the color suited me."

Taking off my hat, I set it on the glass table by the door. "Well, the style definitely does."

"So," she taunted, floating a bit further out of reach, "how was church, Luke? I think I had a bit more fun."

The way my name slid off her tongue was dangerous. It made me want to hear it again, and I was going to make sure I did. Tugging my shirt from the waist of my pants, I released the top two buttons, then pulled the whole thing over my head, tossing it toward my hat.

Violet's lips parted and her eyes dropped to my chest. While she was looking at my abs, I kicked off my boots and reached for my belt. She licked her lips and took another step back, reaching above the water to beckon me closer with a finger.

"I think you're bluffing," she said.

"Darlin', I don't bluff."

My socks were gone. Next came my jeans, leaving me in just a pair of dark briefs, but I didn't give her the chance to look. I dove, slicing through the water directly at her. From down here, her breasts were even larger and ready to escape from the tiny triangles of pale-purple fabric. And then there were her legs. Colors ran down the left, but it only made them look longer. I reached out, catching her hip as my head broke the surface, putting me right up against her slick flesh.

"Hello, beautiful," I breathed, tugging her against me. "You're right, it's very nice in here."

"Luke," she whispered.

I carefully pushed back the pastel locks along her neck, resting one hand where it met her shoulder. "Damn, you look good without makeup."

And I saw it. The smallest, tiniest blush touched her cheeks and her eyes flicked down. It was completely at odds with the strong woman she'd been playing so far, and it hit me right in the gut. Maybe not even a woman like Violet ever really thought she was good enough. I’d have to show her otherwise. The fingers of my other hand followed the line of her spine until I found the dip. She felt so good in my arms.

"I mean it. You always look like a dream, but I like this look on you best."

"Just because I'm almost naked," she said, shifting to move away.

But I wasn't going to let her go that easy. "I don't mean your body - although that's just as nice. I mean you. Makes me think this is how you'd look in the morning." And I let my thumb tease her jaw. "Like this, I'm not terrified to touch you."

"I'm always touchable."

I shook my head. "No, princess. You're untouchable, and you'd better remind me real fast that I'm here to work off the board for my horses or I'm going to start touching."

Her head tilted slightly, exposing the long line of her neck. "I dare you."

That was all it took. My mouth found hers, my hand clasping the back of her head to hold her there. She moaned softly, the sound shooting straight to my balls, proving the water wasn't nearly cold enough. Then my tongue slipped between her teeth.

She tasted like cherries. Her skin was as soft as silk. Every line of her begged for a man to claim her, and I wanted to be that man. In all my life, I’d never wanted anything as much as I wanted to feel her writhe against me. The harder I kissed, the more she gave in, her fingers clinging to my shoulders like she was begging for more. Slowly, step by step, I guided her toward the wall until her back met it, making her gasp. My eyes dropped to find two hard peaks in the center of those tiny little triangles.

"Damn, you know how to seduce a man." Then I kissed her again.

Pressing my hips against hers, I took what I wanted, tasting her, torturing her, daring her to ask me to stop, but she didn't. Violet twined her legs around my waist and slid along the length of me, forcing a growl deep in my throat. Then her hands tangled in the hair at the back of my head and she pressed into me. I could feel the swell of her breasts crushed against me, sliding against my skin. She wasn't asking me to stop. She was daring me to keep going.

My tongue tangled with hers, twining along the length of it just to retreat to tease her mouth. She retaliated with her teeth catching my lip as her hips bucked into me, and I lifted her higher, using the wall to brace her exactly where I wanted her. When I ground my hips against her, there wasn't nearly enough fabric between us, yet way too much. I teased her again, feeling her body react all the way to her fingertips. She moaned softly as her head tilted back.

"Gorgeous," I whispered against her lips.

She sucked in a tiny breath, her eyes flicking open. "Luke."

I smiled, taking in the bruised fullness of her lips. "Princess, I think we need to slow down just a bit or things are gonna get out of hand."

One finger traced a line down my neck and across my pectoral muscles. "I didn't think you'd do that." She sounded almost sorry.

"Trust me, I wouldn't pass this up." I eased away from her just enough for water to separate our skin, but my hand didn't leave her waist. "If you meant getting in the pool, then you don't know me very well."
