Liam winced. “Sorry. Got stuck talking with your brother for a minute.”

My eyes went wide. “Did he know where you were going? What did he say?”

Liam’s hands slid up my arms to take my shoulders. “Breathe, Gracie. No need to panic.”

I tried to follow his advice by taking a deep breath, but I couldn’t shake the unsettled feeling. “Seriously, Liam. What did he say?”

“We mostly talked about the team,” he said, shrugging. “He was kind of cool, actually.”

Hmm. That didn’t really sound like Andy, at least not where Liam was concerned. And he had said mostly…

“What aren’t you telling me?”

Liam let out a sigh. “He may have warned me not to hurt you.”

I gasped. “Do you think he knows?”

Something seemed to tighten in Liam’s face but he smoothed it out right away. “I think it’s probably obvious to anyone whosees me that I’ve been crushing on you for half of my life. It makes sense that he would warn me.”

That made me pause. “You’ve been crushing on me for half your life?”

Liam grinned. “Come on, gorgeous. You know I’ve always been crazy about you.”

Something about that simple statement damn near took my breath away. Could that actually be the case? Had he really always harbored these feelings about me, the way I had with him? Or was this just more of that golden boy charm he’d always been famous for?

Before I could really wrap my mind around that, Liam was moving me forward, back towards the bathroom I’d just come out of.

“Hang on,” I said, a hand at his chest, even though pretty much the only thing I wanted to do in the world was go into that bathroom with him. “If he stopped you on the way in, my brother totally knows we’re both in here.”

“You can go back to the party first,” he said, burying his face in my neck, and God, his lips felt good there.

“It will still be obvious,” I said weakly, resistance crumbling.

“This house has about a dozen doors leading to the backyard. We’ll use different ones.”

“The east lawn,” I corrected, barely conscious of what I was saying because now he was running his tongue along the skin just below my earlobe.

“Whatever the fuck you want to call it,” Liam growled, and the deep raspy sound of his voice was enough to push me over the edge. I grabbed him by the T-shirt and pulled him into the bathroom with me. “We really shouldn’t be doing this,” I muttered, even as I worked to pull his shirt up and off, revealing the most ridiculous set of abs I’d ever seen in my life. His bodyhad looked amazing before, but the early evening light in my living room hadn’t been half as bright as this.

“I don’t care, Gracie,” he panted, pulling away just long enough to get his shirt over his head. Then he grabbed the straps of my sundress and yanked them down my arms. “Been wanting to do that since the minute I saw you.” He pushed the fabric over my chest, lowering it until he reached the white lace of my bra. He exhaled a heavy breath. “I was wondering what you had on under here. The straps are so tiny.”

“Strapless bra,” I managed to gasp out as his hands cupped my breasts.

“It’s sexy as hell,” he muttered. “I half want to leave it on you while we fuck.”

Oh my God, I loved it when he talked like that. I had never really been a fan of the dirty talk before, but Liam made it sound so good.

“It would probably be faster to leave it on,” I pointed out.

Liam growled and pushed the lace down until it hit my belly, exposing my breasts.

“Don’t care,” he muttered. “Miss your tits too much.”

“Liam,” I moaned, knowing I was being too loud and not quite managing to care. I needed him to hurry, and it had nothing to do with not wanting to get caught. I just didn’t think I could stand this delicious anticipation for another second.

When Liam dropped to his knees in front of me, I groaned in frustration. “I just want you in me,” I panted, pulling at his shoulders.

“Patience, sweetheart,” he said, and I could hear the smug smile in his words.
