“What the hell?” I snapped, scrambling off the bed. “Waverly’shere?”

He glanced at the clock on the nightstand. “They will be in about three hours. They’re flyin’ in for a week. We have to pick them up from the airport.”

“I thought the Howlers’ were moving Granny in.”

“They are. And Razor and Waverly are coming to celebrate.”

My trip to Portland right before Africa had done wonders to help heal the rift between Waverly and me, but the shocker of all lifetimes had been she’d met and fallen for her own biker while I was away. His name is Razor, and he was apparently a saint among saints. I couldn’t wait to meet him.

“Okay, I take back what I said about your surprises,” I hissed.

He laughed. “You’re awake now, though, huh?”

“Why are you just lying there?” I waved my hands in the air. “Get up, get up, get up!”

He grinned, sliding off the mattress and pulling me into his arms. “We’ve got plenty of time, sweetheart. I’ve ordered catering, which Rocky’s pickin’ up on his way over, a couple of the women are bakin’, and believe me, when you taste their cakes and pies, you’re gonna see heaven. You don’t have to do a thing. It’s all handled.”

I bit my lip. “But I like to have gifts for my guests. I like to plan more when I invite people over.”

“Then let’s make the bed real quick and we can run to the mall before we pick up your friend. Thehouse looks good. Your sister already moved all your shit out of your apartment, so you don’t have to worry about any of that right now, right? The boys’ll take care of Granny.”

“But is she okay with that?”

“She already knows Sundance. I introduced her to both him and Wyatt, and they’re handling all of that for us today, so we can take care of Razor and Waverly.”

“I’m so not used to this.”

“What?”

“Support.”

He chuckled. “Well, you’ve got it in spades now.”

“Apparently.” I wrapped my arms around his waist. “Thanks, honey.”

“You’re welcome. Come on, let’s shower. I’ll give you a couple moreorgasms in there, then we’ll head out.”

“I like where your head’s at.”

“Gonna like where my other head’s at even better in a minute.”

I laughed and followed him into the bathroom.

Later that night, I was in our back yard, sipping a glass of wine, my best friend in the entire world to my right, my sister to my left, and my grandmother in a comfy chair in front of us. We were watching a gaggle of bikers play a rowdy game of cornhole, which Waverly’s man was currently winning, despite being in a full leg air cast. He’d apparently hadto have two full leg hard casts, having cut off the first one, so the fact he’d managed to graduate to an air cast was a miracle.

Razor was adorable, and wholly devoted to my friend, and there was nothing in this world that could have made me happier.

Snarl caught my eye and smiled making his way over to me.

“Hey, honey,” I said as he wrapped his arms around me.

“Hey.”

“Razor’s a bit of a shark, huh?”

“Yeah, I’m out. Already lost fifty bucks.”
