“Okay,” I breathed out.

“Come on, let’s go back to bed.

I grinned. He didn’t have to tell me twice.

One week later, LRG had booked another round-trip flight to Seattle, so I logged the flight info and rode out to the helo pad.

I did my checks, then waited for LRG and his assistant to arrive. Because I was early, I took a few minutes to call Tate.

“Hi,” she breathed out.

I checked my watch. “Did I wake you?”

“I plead the fifth.”

“Did I keep you up too late?”

“I’m not complaining.” I heard her yawn and chuckled.

“Maybe I should let you sleep tonight, huh? Give you a night off?”

“Shut your mouth,” she snapped. “I thought you had a flight.”

“I do. Client’s runnin’ late.”

“I don’t likenotseeing you first thing in the morning,” she said. “I can’t wait until you can kiss me before you leave me.”

“Me too.” I smiled. “Plan to sleep at the club this Friday and Saturday night.”

We had a family night, so I’d set up a surprise for her over the weekend.

“Okay, honey, that sounds good.”
