I chuckled. “Okay, okay. I hope you’re right.”
“I am,” she said.
For the next hour, Poppy and I walked around my house and she made a list of everything that needed to be done and bought to make my house habitable for Tate. I had a feeling my credit card was going to take a major hit before she was done.

Two days later, I stepped out of the shower to find a text from Flash.
Flash:Dinner?
Me:Tonight?
Flash:Yeah. 7?
I smiled. Hell, yes, I wanted to go to dinner with him. Since I’d had to cancel our first real date last-minute this would be our makeup, and I couldn’t wait to see him.
I wasn’t gonna let him know that, though.
I turned and walked back into my bathroom. I was gonna make him sweat a little.
I looked in the mirror and frowned.
Shit.
I rushed back into my room and picked up my phone. I couldn’t play games. It just wasn’t in my nature.
Me:7 works.
Flash:See you then.
That gave me one hour to look fabulous.
