Train gave her a salute and a huge grin. Damn the man was cute.
As the women shooed their men away, I kissed Jaxon gently. “I’m going to be in Booker’s office if you need me,” he said.
“Okay, honey. Thank you.”
He smiled. “Try to keep your bar bill under a grand, huh?”
I wrinkled my nose. “Absolutely no promises.”
He chuckled and followed the rest of the guys downstairs.
“Do we want to drink or dance?” Kim asked.
“Drink first, then dance,” Dani said.
“Shots first, then dance,” Payton countered.
“Oh, I’m all over that,” I agreed.
We walked over to the bar to find Train already pouring Patrón into shot glasses.
“Ohmigod, I love you,” Kim said.
“Yeah, I know, babe,” Train deadpanned.
“You say that every time he gives you liquor,” Dani pointed out.
“She says it anytimeanyonegives her liquor,” Payton countered.
I chuckled. “Patrón is kind of an obsession for me, so you can add me to your fan club as well.”
Train tipped the bottle toward me. “Glad to have you.”
“Let’s dance!” Kim demanded, so we followed her down the stairs.
We filed onto the dance floor and I couldn’t stop a giggle when Kim stopped on the way down to ‘grind’ on her husband. He grinned, but stood totally still while she danced around him. Lordy, they were pretty people. A lot of the patrons stopped to watch the show which seemed to spur Kim on. After a few minutes, she kissed him, then joined us on the floor.
I’d danced my ass off for about twenty minutes when pain in my ankle had me bowing out and heading back upstairs. I flopped onto a sofa and unstrapped my heels, dropping them on the floor next to me.
Train walked toward me, a shot glass and a bottled water in his hand and handed me both. “Jax wants to know if you’re okay.”
I smiled, taking the shot and handing the glass back to him. “I’m good. My ankle’s just a little sore from the heels.”
Train pointed to a darkened window above us. “Tell him.”
I smiled, twisting to face it and gave him a thumbs up before giving the ASL sign for ‘I love you.’
I sank further into the sofa and greedily drank my water just as Cassidy walked in with a gorgeous brunette behind her. I deduced this was Sadie. She looked like Mila Kunis and was an absolute knockout.
“Hey,” Cassidy said, hugging me once I stood. “This is Sadie.”
She grinned, hugging me gently. “Hi. I’ve heard so much about you.”
“Same,” I admitted.
“You totally want to know how a nun ended up with a biker, huh?”
“Oh my god, yes I do.”
