“Do you like it? It’s a French-set halo, two and half carat diamond. I chose white gold, but I wasn’t sure if platinum would be better,” he said. “We can return—”

I covered his mouth with my hand. “Don’t say another word. It’s the most amazing ring I’ve ever seen. If you try to pry it off my hand, it will have to be off my cold, dead body.”

He grinned, kissing my fingers, then kissing me again. “You like it, then.”

“Iloveit. It’s perfect. Just like you.”

Jaxon kissed me again, then he carried me to my bedroom and fucked his fiancé into total oblivion before curling up on the sofa to eat our reheated dinner and watch a movie.

Harmony

Six months later...

“Harmony?” Jaxon called.

“Back here, baby,” I replied as I leaned into our bedroom mirror to figure out why I couldn’t get my earring clasped. We had moved in together two months ago and our wedding was set for December so my sisters could be part of it.

Currently, I was getting ready for girls’ night with his sisters-in-law, and a couple of the women from the club.

He walked in and I stood on my tiptoes to kiss him quickly. “You’re home early. I almost didn’t get my lover out before you caught him.”

He chuckled giving my butt a smack. “Minx.”

I managed to get my earring in and then followed him into the bathroom. “How was your day?”

“Informative,” he said and washed his face.

“Did you get the bad guy?”

“We did, actually.” He grinned, toweling off then leaning against the counter. “I figured I’d be your designated driver tonight.”

I narrowed my eyes. “This is girls’ night, Jaxon, which means, no boys allowed.”

He grinned. “I’ll stay out of your way, baby. Promise. Brock’s gonna meet me wherever you ladies go.”

“Oooh, so I can drink and drink and drink.”
