I grinned wide. Living here meant I never took advantage of anything touristy. I was too busy reconnecting with my sisters when I was home, rather than exploring, so the opportunity to see my city with the sexiest man alive made me positively giddy. It also meant we didn’t have to see Savannah from the cage of a car.
“I take it you’ve never done it?” Jaxon asked, and I shook my head.
“Never.”
He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight. “I’m glad I can pop your cherry, then.”
I chuckled. “Oh my god, Jax, stop, or I’m gonna suck you off in front of this fountain.”
“Jesus,” he hissed, kissing me gently. “You’re going to kill me.”
“You’ll die happy, though.”
He laughed. “Hell, yeah, I will.”
I settled on a bench and pulled my phone out of my pocket. “I’m going to see if I can make a reservation.”
“Always prepared,” he mused.
“Damn straight.”
I booked a reservation for later in the afternoon, then took Jaxon to my favorite bistro before he insisted we go for ice cream.
“We’ve only got ten minutes before our tour,” I pointed out.
“After, then.”
“I can’t keep eating like this, honey. I’ll gain a thousand pounds.”
He smiled gently, leaning down to kiss me. “More of you to love, then.”
“We better go, Jax. I’m losing my resolve.”
He chuckled, taking my hand and kissing me one more time, then he carried me to our buggy ride.

“Did you do the ghosttour?” Lyric asked as we carried food to the table. Lyric had cooked an old-fashioned southern meal tonight, complete with grits, and my stomach grumbled with anticipation.
“There’s a ghost tour?” Jaxon asked, pouring wine.
“Yes, there is and no we did not,” I said. “But we can before we leave on Sunday if you want to.”
“I don’t know how it could top today’s, so maybe we save it for next time.”
“Are you telling me you’re not going to take my sister away forever?” Lyric asked hopefully.
He smiled gently. “I would never take your sister away from you, Lyric.”
“Will you come for Christmas?”
“I can’t promise Christmas,” he said. “My brothers’ club does a shit ton over the holidays, and I’m kind of committed to that every year, but how about you come over the holidays and we’ll come any other time of the year.”
I kind of melted and couldn’t stop a smile. “Aw, look at my two favorite people making plans for the future.”
Jaxon slid his arm around my waist and kissed my temple. “Youcanweigh in here, Rufus, if you disagree.”
“I know. But so far you haven’t said anything I need to verbally spank you for.”
