I frowned. “Why would he do that?”

“We don’t know. We haven’t been able to find him. Yet.”

“What does Billy say?”

“He refuses to believe Graham would do this, but he said if he contacts him, he’ll let us know.”

“He will,” I confirmed. “Billy’s our best friend, Jax. He would never betray us, not even for Graham.”

“I hope you’re right.”

“Me too,” I admitted. “Does that mean we’re staying here for a little longer?”

He smiled gently. “You sound hopeful.”

“That’s because I am. I love your home, Jaxon. I feel safe.”

“I’m glad.” He pulled me against him and wrapped his arms around me. “And, yeah, you can stay as long as you want.”

“I’m going to need to get a few more things from the hotel. Or go shopping.”

“Which would you prefer?”

I sighed. “I should probably check in with my sisters. Lyric’s more than likely worried sick.”

“We’ll swing by tomorrow.”

I dropped my head to his chest. “Sounds good.”

“You wanna watch a movie and make out?”

I grinned up at him. “I don’t know how long I’ll be able to stay awake, but that sounds like a great plan.”

“You find the movie and I’ll open more wine.”
