Harmony

Twenty minutes, Jaxon texted and my heart raced.

Okay, no, it was more like my lady bits raced. Or zinged. Or racedandzinged. Oh, my god, I was swampy just thinking about Jaxon getting into my pants.

It was about eleven a.m., I was at Wendy and Patrick’s, already showered and dressed appropriately for a clandestine sex rendezvous with the object of my desire, and I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of here.

I had taken time in the shower to shave all the applicable spots that should be hairless, and managed to do it without bloodshed. I did a quick pit sniff test and determined I smelled just the right amount of flowery, so now I was just waiting for Jaxon to get here.

Grabbing my purse, I headed downstairs. Patrick was at work and Wendy was out running errands, so I had the house to myself for the moment. Which made the waiting worse, to be honest. I started to think of all the reasons I shouldn’t do this and it was drowning out the voice of insanity. I didn’t want to hear reason. I wanted to throw caution to the wind for once in my life.

Before I could talk myself out of what I knew would be an incredible sexual encounter, the doorbell rang and I was rushing to the door.

I pulled it open and bit my lip so hard, it almost bled. God, he was edible. Dark jeans, cowboy boots this time, and a tight, blue button up showcased his big chest. I couldn’t wait to peel him out of every stitch.

“Hey,” he said, his voice low and sexy.

“Hi.” I smiled. “Are you ready?”

“Yeah, Harmony, I’m ready. Are you?”

I nodded.

“Come on, then.”

I nodded again and locked up the house before following him to the truck. He held the door for me and climbed inside. He made his way to the driver’s side and started the engine.

“Condoms!” I blurted.

“Got that covered, Harmony,” Jaxon said.

I blushed. “Oh, right. Okay, thanks.”

Jaxon reached over and took my hand. “You can say no at any point.”

“I’m not going to say no.”

“Just putting it out there. You can stop this even if we’ve started.”

“I have no plans to stop anything. Unless you suck.”

“Excuse me?”

I met his eyes. “If you don’t make me come—”

He laughed. “You’re gonna come, Harmony. More than once. That I can promise you.”
