Fionn’s plush private jet.

Elijah was antsy to get to his parents. To Odette and Margaret.

The plan was for Fionn, Niamh, and Rose to ambush Astra and her guards at her home, while the rest of them took out the guards at the compound. Bran had retasked an infrared satellite over the compound. From their heat signatures, he’d deduced there were five werewolves and four vampires guarding Elijah’s parents, Odette, and Margaret.

No witches or warlocks, which was a relief.

And if they arrived before sunset, the vamps wouldn’t be a problem.

“We’ll get them back,” Niamh assured him, as if sensing his growing agitation. “This will all be over so—” Her words cut offas her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she began to shudder and jerk in her seat.

Kiyo was seated next to her and immediately pulled her against him to absorb the jolt of her body as the vision claimed her.

“Another one?” Fionn unclipped his seat belt to kneel before Niamh. His concern was palpable as he met Kiyo’s gaze. “So soon?”

Niamh gasped loudly as she abruptly stopped shaking.

Elijah scented a change in the air.

“Fear,” Echo whispered beside him. “You can smell her fear.”

“Crash,” Niamh gasped, sitting up, frantic. “The plane is going to?—”

Once more, she was cut off, but this time by the sudden tilt of the aircraft.

Fionn, no longer seated, was yanked by gravity, soaring down the aisle while the rest of them found their legs flying up into the air as it tried to pull them from their seats.

“Fionn!” Rose screamed over the roar of the engine.

Kiyo held Niamh in a tight grip as the force of the dropping plane tried to jerk her toward Fionn and wherever he’d disappeared to.

“We need totravel!” Niamh cried.

Fionn suddenly appeared behind Rose, having done just that. He braced against the back of her seat as Rose’s seat belt unsnapped, the cabin air tinged with the scent of magic. Using all his strength, he then reached out an arm to Thea and Conall. “Grab on!” He looked to Niamh. “Can you manage the others?!”

Niamh’s frightened gaze jerked to Elijah. “I can’t reach you! You’ll have totravel!”

Fuck!

It was either that or die.

He turned to Echo.

“I trust you!” she yelled.

“I’ll come back for the pilot!” Fionn roared seconds before he disappeared into thin air along with three of their companions.

“Go!” Niamh yelled at Echo and Elijah as Kiyo unclipped his belt.

Seconds later, the mated couple were gone.

Fuck, fuck, fuck!

“You can do this!” Echo yelled. “It’s in your nature! Just think of where you want us to be!”

Shaking, Elijah nodded as he took one of her hands in his. “Unclip in three!”

She jerked her chin in agreement.
