She huffed a little. He was going to make her actually say it out loud. “I want to be kissed.”
He leaned his head closer and angled his head just enough to place a soft, chaste kiss at the corner of her mouth. When he pulled back he saw the slight smile cross her lips before she opened her eyes and looked at him.
“I want a real kiss. I’m twenty years old and I still don’t know what a kiss feels like.”
“Are you sure?”
“I am.”
Slowly, gently holding her head still with one hand, he pressed his lips to hers. He softly kissed her lips two, three times, before he slightly separated his lips and pressed them against hers again.
She mimicked his actions, just slightly parting her lips to be able to press them to his, savoring each kiss, his lips restinglonger and longer against hers as they caressed hers just as surely as if they had a mind of their own. When she opened her eyes to gaze up at him, he smiled at her. “Close your eyes,” he whispered.
She did as he asked, and closed her eyes. Almost immediately she felt his lips on her again, but this time the tip of his tongue just barely licked the bow of her upper lip. “Open for me.”
He heard and felt her sharp intake of breath, but she opened for him.
Boon took the opportunity to really kiss her, his tongue stroking against hers, as his lips caressed hers. He pulled back a little and nibbled at her bottom lip before plunging his tongue inside, holding her head in both hands now as he turned her to the angles he wanted to fully devour and taste her. When he could tell she was completely breathless, he returned to the gentle nips and soft touches of his lips chastely against hers, before fully stopping the kiss.
He still cradled her head in his hands, his face only inches away when she finally opened her eyes and looked at him.
She stared into his eyes in complete silence.
“Are you alright?” he asked quietly.
She shook her head as much as she was able with him still holding her steady.
“No?” he asked.
“I am so screwed,” she murmured.
Boon smiled at her. “Good. So am I.”
“Again?” she asked.
“Are you sure?”
“Oh, yes.”
Chapter 5
Boon strolled slowly beside Angelle in the moonlight as he escorted her home. In one hand he held the fishing poles and gripped the handles of the picnic basket Valerie had sent with them. In the other his large hand held Angelle’s smaller one gently.
“I can’t believe time got away from us like that,” Angelle said, completely relaxed beside him as she held tightly to his hand, and held onto her tackle box with the other.
“I can. Best day I’ve had in a long, long time,” Boon said.
“I didn’t bore you to tears?” she asked, smiling up at him in the darkness.
“Are you kidding? Fishing, the birds singing, quiet time away from everything else, the woods, water and your kisses. What else could I ask for?”
“Excitement?”
Boon came to a stop as they reached the edge of the woods closest to Bane’s and Bam’s houses. He turned and faced her, while still keeping a hold on her hand. He looked down into her eyes as he shook his head. “When are you going to believe that to me, you are the most exciting female?”
“I’m working on it,” she said.
“Let me ask you something else,” Boon said.
