“Pazessca is missing. Someone took her. That idiot Trikk took her to some cafe and was knocked out. I have a tracker, but I don’t know how to use it,” I ramble.
“The fuck?” Harris’s face reddens with rage. “Where? When? How?”
“Some cafe twenty minutes from here. Trikk took one of the cars.”
“And what about a tracker?” Harris looks at me in confusion.
“I had one put in when she was unconscious at the Doctor’s office.”
Harris’s brows rise. “That was bold. Pretty Girl will kill you. But I can’t say it was a bad thing to do.”
I nod, jaw working with my panic.
“Let me see your phone.” Harris holds out his hand, tapping his foot anxiously.
I hand it over, and he clicks and scrolls. After a minute, he motions me to get closer to see the screen.
“This is the map of the area. It's all in real time. See this red dot? That’s the tracker. You can zoom in and out of the map, like this.” Harris shows me and continues. “The dot isn’t moving. Where the hell even is this?” He squints at the screen. “There’s nothing around there. What the hell?”
“How will I know if there’s movement?” I ask.
“You’ll get a loud alert. Now come on—we need to bring this to Jax.”
I nod, following him over to Jax's office.
My heart is in my throat. Why isn’t the fucking dot moving?
We make it to the office, knocking on the door frame since it’s already open. Jax looks up from his desk.
“What's going on?” His eyes flit back and forth between me and Harris.
Harris quickly explains, handing him my phone. “This is an unpopulated area about an hour from here. All that’s there are trees and grass...”
My face pales. What if…?
Nope. I will not go there.
“Let’s take this over to Thor, Bill, and Purge. They should still be in the computer lab,” Jax says, standing from his desk.
We follow him out, walking quickly to the lab.
All three look up sharply when Jax enters, followed closely by me and Harris.
“What’s up?” Purge asks, brows raised.
I tell him, his face turning ghostly white as I explain.
“Give me the phone,” he barks.
Jax passes it to him, and he scans the map. “This is the middle of nowhere.”
“Let me see it, man,” Thor says, rolling his chair up next to his. He gives it to him, and he clucks as he sees the same thing we do. He nods once, moving back to his computer. “I’ll run the coordinates and try to figure out where she might be.”
Bill pipes up from the corner, “I’ll take charge of checking security cameras in the area where she was taken.”
Purge looks at me, mouth set in a firm line. “Did you put that tracker in her without her knowledge?”
“Yes, and it’s a good fucking thing I did.” My teeth grind together in defense.
