“Yes, always, baby,” I answer, kissing him happily.
Sam is staring at me with such intensity, I’m drawn to him like a moth to a flame.
He takes both my hands. “Phoenyxx, you found me. You gave me back my voice. You not only saved my life but GAVE me life. Saying I love you doesn’t reflect the totality of what I feel. I need you for all time. Will you be my wife?”
More tears swim in my eyes with that heartfelt declaration.
Looking at his tattoo, I make a delighted sound. It's a large sun, with waves of sound piercing through it.
“Yes, my Golden-Eyed Boy. I would be honored.” I kiss him, then turn to Hunter, who’s last in line. He stretches out his hand, grasping mine.
“Phoenyxx, you were supposed to be forbidden. I was your therapist, after all. But one look into those green eyes, and I was smitten. I fought it, but I fell for you hard. I've never felt this way about anyone, ever. I love you. Will you be my wife?”
I kiss him, with tongue, before even seeing his tattoo. I chuckle at the thought of my strait-laced guy getting inked.
He opens his shirt, bearing an image of a chair, with a pair of handcuffs lying on it. How clever.
“Yes, so much yes!” I kiss him tenderly.
Standing back, my eyes sweep over them all. “I don’t know how this will work, but you are all now my husbands, and I’m your wife. I can’t wait to spend forever with all of you.”
Female sobs come to my ears, and I turn back to see Valley crying, and Cynthia doing so, also, being held up by Thor.
“You knew, but didn’t tell me?” I ask my besties.
“Duh,” Valley says, making everyone laugh.
Her and Bryan stand, and I race to hug them both, and Cynthia and Thor, too. We all leave the cute little chapel, heading for our separate cars.
“Wait,” Synn says, stopping. He steps next to Bryan.
“We have a surprise for you,” Bryan tells me and Valley.
“With my help,” I hear Jax mutter, and Cynthia giggles.
They both reach inside their jackets and pull out document files.
“Open them,” Bryan urges.
Valley and I glance at each other and open them at the same time.
“Holy what?” Valley gasps.
I look at mine in shock.
It appears to be a deed for a property. There's something behind it, so I pull it out. It's a photo of a stunning house. Wait...
“Yes, it’s what you’re thinking,” Synn says. “All of us pitched in and got us houses. They're actually on the same block, so you girls will still be close.”
“We had it designed specifically for us,” Hunter adds.
“Same,” Bryan smiles over at Valley.
“Oh my God!” Valley and I say at the same time, jumping around like crazy.
“Take notes,” Cynthia whispers loudly to Thor, elbowing him in the ribs. The poor guy blushes, then smiles.
“Please tell me that’s where we’re going now? Our... home?” I sputter, unashamedly sobbing happy tears.
