But also… the woman could put away some fucking food. I could place money on it she could eat more than any of us men. She had barely stopped eating the past two hours.

“Who do we have here?” Joey mused.

Noah grunted but ignored him, making me snort a laugh. I pressed a kiss to the back of her head, her pink hair tickling my nose. “Her name is Noah. She’s a prospect at the moment and my old lady, but I’ll have Johnston promoting her to a patch once we’re back home.” Of that, I was fucking certain. She was stayingandshe was getting patched in, whether Johnston liked it or not.

She turned to look at me, her brow arched, an unamused expression on her pretty face. “Old lady?” she questioned.

I smirked. “Yeah, mama. But give me enough time, and I’ll make you my wife.” Reaching up, I rubbed a cookie crumb away from the corner of her lips. “Finish your cookies.”

She rolled her eyes, muttering something about me being a typical fucking pig beneath her breath. I just grinned. I fucking loved how feisty she was, and goddamn, the way she talked shit both to me and about me had me fucking feral for her. I was apparently a slut for degredation. Who the fuck knew?

Ilovedit when this woman put me in my fucking place.

“Christ,” Ink grunted, shaking his head at me. He dropped onto the couch. “Y’all got a plan yet? I’m fucking starving and tired as hell. Quicker we talk this shit out, the faster I can eat and crash.”

Ink was Joey’s VP, but they were practically best friends. And I wasprettysure Ink was in love with Joey’s twin sister. Again, wasn’t really my business though. I just tended to notice quite a bit—more than I wanted to, honestly, because it just made me too curious for my own damn good.

“There are numerous buyers of these victims,” Geek spoke up from his position on the floor, where he’d been bent over his laptop, which was resting on the coffee table. “Alejandro already has boots on the ground to take care of them. Our job is to find the victims and rescue them.”

“There will be armed guards,” I announced. “According to the security footage Geek has, they’re heavily surrounded. Not only are we dealing with electrical wire and barbed wire, we’re also dealing with gates that are only opened with fingerprints. There’s at least twenty guards at any given time. This is going to be a very dangerous operation. One or more of us will probably be injured.”

And if one of those people happened to be Noah, I was going to burn the entire country to the fucking ground.

Joey shrugged one shoulder. “No stranger to being shot.”

Alejandro grunted, making Joey smirk.

“There are eight of us who can go in. Noah and I will be a team, and so will Halo and Gidget.” I looked at the other four. “It’s up to y’all how you want to pair up. But I suggest we move sometime tonight under the cover of darkness. Geek and Scorpion will work together remotely to turn off the power so we can get inside.”

“Don’t tell me I have to scale barbed wire,” Whiler groaned dramatically, leaning his head back to look at the ceiling as if it’d personally offended him.

I smirked. “It’s your lucky day, brother. If we can’t get those fences open, we’ll be scaling it.”

He sighed and dropped his head back down. “I hate this fucking shit.”

“Toughen up, buttercup,” Ink told him. Whiler offered up both his middle fingers in response.

“We need to take down every guard we see,” Joey said, crossing his arms over his broad chest. “And each hits needs to be a kill shot, preferably. As soon as we eliminate all threats, Alejandro and I can handle getting the victims out and into a transport truck.”

Alejandro dipped his chin once in agreement when Joey looked at him, his brow arched in question. He looked at me then. “Meet at midnight?”

“Midnight is good,” I told him. “Eat and rest up. Tonight’s going to be a fucking train wreck.”

Noah turned to look at me again, and I winced when she jabbed her tiny finger against my chest. “If you get shot, Gabel, I’m going to punch you in the fucking face.”

I smirked. “Don’t tempt me with a good time, little mama.”

She huffed, rolled her eyes, and stood from my lap, heading for the kitchen. I stood as well, knowing she was more than likely headed upstairs after this. We all needed our rest to be the most prepared for the shit storm we were about to have blow up in our faces. There was a very high possibility one or all of us could die, but it was a risk each of us was willing to take to free those victims.

I was already lounged back in bed when Noah slipped into my room—the room that had really become ours, honestly. She’d even moved her bag into the room. She might give me a hard time, but she liked being near me.

“We’re just sleeping, right?” she asked as she peeled her jeans down her legs.

I nodded, eyeing her even though I had no intention of following through with what I really wanted. “I’ll fuck you when this is all said and done,” I promised.

She crawled into bed beside me after she removed her bra—without ever taking her shirt off, I might add. The moment she curled up against my side, I wrapped my arm around her, everything in me loosening when she rested her head on my chest.

“I’m holding you to that,” she grumbled as she draped her arm over my waist and tossed her leg over both of mine. Immediately, my other hand came down to grip her thigh beneath the knee, just holding her. “So, you better not fucking die.”
