“Who are you?” I repeat as I shove into the bunker with her.

It’s the only place I can think of where I know we can talk privately without being interrupted.

“He brought the tofu again,” Willie Wayne says.

“Who cares?” Ridhi replies.

Jane sighs happily. “The only thing I care about is finding out who the chocolate fairy is and getting more.”

Christ.

It’s poker night.

All Tavi’s chocolates and supplies and equipment are here, andI forgot it’s poker night.

“You know where we can get more?” Willie Wayne asks. “I’m trying real hard to be mad that this might attract mice, but—”

Ridhi interrupts him with a moan as she licks a truffle.

Just licks it.

And her eyes roll back into her head. “This stuff should be illegal.”

“It’s so good.” Willie Wayne’s spread eagle on the couch, admiring a truffle like it holds the key to happiness. “And it might be worth it.”

Tavi-Not-Tavi makes a noise. “What did you do?” she hisses as she thrashes on my shoulder.

Pebbles whimpers under my free arm.

“Whoa.” Willie Wayne sits up and studies me.

Ridhi looks twice.

Jane makes a muffled noise, then dives for the door and slams it shut.

“Sit,” Ridhi orders me.

“I don’t know who pissed you off, but whoever it is, we’re talking it out before we leave this room,” Jane adds.

Willie Wayne holds out the truffle in his hand. “Here. Eat this. It’ll help.”

“It won’t fucking help.”

Three sets of eyebrows lift in unison.

I set Tavi-Not-Tavi on the floor.

Three sets of eyeballs look at her, then immediately shift back to me.

“Did she knock you up?” Jane asks me, totally deadpan.

“Cheat on you?” Ridhi chimes in.

“Tell you she paid a service to inflate your TikTok views?” Willie Wayne guesses.

Tavi-Not-Tavi gasps. “Willie Wayne, I would, like,never.”

“How the hell do you know who he is?” I snap.
