I settle my baseball cap on my head, wave to my friends, and dash out the door.

And the gasp that comes from the familiar Deer Droppers heading up from the lake tells me there might not be any peace either.
“It’s him, Bella! That’s the cute plumber!”
Yep.
Definitely no peace.
I’m usually okay with that. Life’s here to live, right?
But today, I’m out of my element without my coach.

Doing a good job shouldn’t make me feel like crap.
My video-editing team back in New York did a bang-up job with making Dylan’s TikTok look natural while hitting only the highlights of the chicken-thigh incident. He’s so swarmed with fans at the coffee shop that he doesn’t even notice when I stop in the doorway. And I have six more videos that my team sent back that’ll keep his account rolling for a while, plus a virtual Tickled Pink Plumber swag shop set up for him online so that he can take full advantage of his five minutes of fame.

Lola’s all over him.
Gag me, but also, the minute those pictures and videos get out on social media, he’ll get exactly what he wants.

It’s exactly why I posted the TikTok to his account this morning.
So that we can move past thehe kissed me and I want him to do it againstage and into thehe’s off limits because he found a very nice, appropriate woman who wants to stay in Tickled Pink and live a happily-ever-after with himstage.
