“Least of all, someone so young. You’re what…like fifteen?”

“Eighteen in a few days,” Sabastian answered, holding the basket out so she could put a few more things into it. “Nothing but a friend, so don’t go blabbing to Nathan. Although the two of you have a past in common.”

She tilted her head to the side, looking me up and down as if her brain was slow to put the pieces together. When it made sense, it seemed like a light bulb flashed on. “Oh.”

“So, be nice.”

“I’m always nice.”

Something told me that wasn’t the case.

“I guess, you really do need everything then.”

“Don’t overwhelm the boy, Molly,” Sabastian sighed, seeming to know it was a loss cause. It was since I was already on the verge of being overwhelmed by everything.

Molly lifted an eyebrow, her eyes going from me to Sabastian before settling back on me once more. I quickly dropped my gaze back to the basket, unsure on what to do.

“Sabastian, be a dear and go sit over there. I got this.”

“Molly…”

“Oh, don’tMollyme. I got this. Now shoo.” She made a shooing motion before taking the basket from him.

Please don’t leave me,I mentally asked, but didn’t dare look at him.

“If you get toyellow, come find me.”

What if I was already there? Instead, I nodded once.

“She will want to make sure you are okay with me. Feel free to answer anything truthfully.”

With that, he dipped his head and walked a bit away, finding one of the few chairs that was sitting out around the store.

“Men, I swear. Come on. Lotions, although your skin is so soft. What do you use?”

Since it was easier to point it out than to speak the words, that’s exactly what I did. There were already a couple of the sugar body scrubs in the basket. One smelt like roses, another more minty in a weird way.

“Makes sense.” She led me a bit further, but at least was mindful to keep us in sight of Sabastian. Looking over my shoulder, he gave me an encouraging smile before dropping his attention to his phone. “How long have you been with him?”

I lifted a shoulder. I wasn’t sure. That’d have to be something she asked the man rather than me.

“Well, have you had sex with him?”

What?

I shook my head quickly, my hair flinging around my face. What kind of question was that? Although, that’s what I was bought for, or I assumed, it hadn’t happened.

“Had to ask. He’s always been so adamant that he won’t sleep with a minor. I bet you got that room with the little bed and stuffed animals?”

No. Well, yes, but no.

“Well, he probably took out all the fun things, but you have that room, right? Right across his bedroom?”

Sure?We could let her pretend that’s where I spent my nights.

“How long are you staying with him?”

What were all these questions? I didn’t know the answers to them.
