“So you haven’t had sex.” Maybe I shouldn’t have asked him to share his thoughts.

I rubbed my spare hand down my face, trying to find the proper wording to answer him once again.

“I have. With both men and women. Men wanted me to do the work, which I prefer the other way around.” Would he understand what I was trying to say?

As I fought my embarrassment, Dakota shifted to look up at me again. With his free hand, he grabbed my hand and pulled it down to his mouth. I was in awe as he pressed a kiss to the palm before laying his head back down.

“I don’t know what to feel about that. I’ve never put my dick in someone. I’m the hole. But I don’t like it.”

“I never expect you to do anything like that. And you know I won’t do that to you.”

He nodded, lost in thought again—another few deep sighs and shifts.

Thankfully, he changed the subject. His mind was a fascinating thing when he let go of his barriers. “Can I still serve you, Sir? Like clean and learn to cook? And sleep in your bed? And-“

“You can do everything you were before, pet.” I cut him off, trying to hold in my laughter. This was something I needed to go over him with, but I’d rather do it when he wasn’t drugged up. “Right now, serving me is to rest for the next three weeks. After that, we’ll revisit the limits on what you can do.”

“Okay, Sir.”

A few minutes went by before he spoke again. “What if I don’t want to do something you tell me to do?”

“How about we save that answer for when you aren’t high?”

“Would I get punished?” Guess not.

“What were your punishments before I got you?” That was probably a better way to go about it.

“I was caged and chained. Gagged. Hit. Used. No food. Bit. Enemas.” He shrugged. “You think of it, and I was punished with it.”

“Well, none of that will ever happen here. Ever. I promise you. So, let's say you don’t want to do something; you can tell me so with respect. If you are rude, then I’ll have you stand in the corner for five minutes or so. Or I’ll have you kneel beside me and tell me five things you like about yourself.”

“Oh. That’s…not….” I made him at a loss for words.

“Punishments aren’t always meant to hurt you. They are meant to teach you to respect yourself and those around you.”

He nodded but didn’t comment any further.

Yeah, this was a subject we’d be coming back to sooner rather than later. I could feel how his mind was trying to grasp that subject, and it wasn’t doing an excellent job of it.

Chapter 37

Dakota

A whole week went by. I didn’t leave Sir’s sight, and he didn’t leave mine either. Most of the time, we lounged on the couch, watching movie after movie. A few times, Sir had read to me, putting me right to sleep. It wasn’t that the book was boring, but his voice was just the perfect type of voice to do that.

Sir flat-out told me I wasn’t allowed to do anything around the house more than once. But I was feeling better and hated not doing things. I could at least wash the dishes or fold laundry. I didn’t exactly have to stand to do either of those things.

Instead, I was told to sit and watch him or tell him about things I liked or wanted to try. I didn’t know what to say, so I mostly sat on the floor, leaning against his leg while he did everything like a damn dog.

Not that it was terrible. I didn’t mind it. I just wanted to help.

Now, Sir was the one fast asleep on the couch, spread out and taking over the whole thing. It was almost cute, in a strange sort of way.

All I had done was get up to use the bathroom, which, thankfully, I could do on my own most of the time when I wasn’t under all the pressure of being good enough. In the mornings and at night, Sir would help, and I treasured those moments as much as I did all the others.

I wasn’t sure how this man could stand me being so needy, but he didn’t bat an eye when I told him exactly what I needed or wanted.

Letting out a slight ghost of air from my lips, I stood from the chair I had been perched on. I couldn’t sit around the house anymore and do nothing. It was different if I was forced to serve, but Sir didn’t want any of that. Not from me.
