I go around and give everyone a hug. I don’t know if Jaxon will ever understand just how much all this meant to me.

“Thank you Jaxon!”

“You’re welcome, kid.” and then the fucker ruffled my hair.

“Hey, just for that, I hope you sleep wrong for a month.”

He scoffs, “Finn, I told you that in confidence!”

Finn comes up behind me and I instinctively lean back against him. “You complained about it all… day… long, to anyone that would listen.”

“I swear to god, if you smite him, Spencer,” Mira says, “I will use all of your favorite lip gloss, and then buy out the store.” I gasp, and Jaxon smirks. “Or,” she yells from the couch. “I will force you to listen to him whine the whole time.”

“Hey!!” Jaxon complains. “I can’t help it, it fucking hurts,”

We all laugh. I sink further into Finn as I take in the beautiful scene before us.

“This feels pretty great!”

“Yeah, it really does!”

The conversation and drinks are flowing, and Jasper has become this evening’s DJ, with Olly acting as supervisor. He has vetoed every Spice Girls song, and Jasper is about to riot.

“So, I think this was a success. No one died from our cooking.”

Finn chuckles into the nape of my neck. “What’s too early to kick everyone out?”

I feel his hard cock grind against my ass, and I moan.

“Now, now’s good!” Leaning my head back on his shoulder and looking up into those sea-blue eyes, I’m more ready than ever. “I want to feel you deep inside me, Finn, please?” I say. My voice hoarse with need.

His eyes go wide. “Are you sure?”

“More than anything!”

“Okay,” he says simply, before kissing my lips.

Two minutes away from yelling for everyone to leave, there is a knock at the door. Finn looks at me in question and I shrug my shoulders. Everyone I know is in this room.

“I’ll get it!” he says, kissing me.

I move around, picking up empty cups and throwing them in the trash. Dom and Jasper had a bet going of who could play flip cup faster. I think they both cheated, but neither would back down.

“Beckett?”

The room goes quiet and my head whips towards the door.

“Holy shit, man. What are you doing here?” Finn says, and they go in for a bro hug.

I look to Jaxon, who has his gaze firmly planted on Beckett. The two of them exchange some wordless communication. Jaxon’s eyes furrow and I look back at the look of sorrow on Beckett’s face.

My stomach drops.Something’s wrong!

“Hey man, is there somewhere we can talk?”

He takes a step back, and I hear the tremble in his voice. “What happened? Just tell me!”

Beckett’s gaze goes from Finn to Jaxon, back to Finn. “I had heard some rumblings, so I checked to look into it. I’m sorry to tell you this man, but your Mom passed away a couple days ago.”
