Taking his hand, she placed it at the base of her throat, holding it in place with both of her hands.

He squeezed lightly.

“I love you, Sin.” He felt as much as he heard the words, the vibrations from her throat tickling his palm. “You mean more to me than you can ever know.”

The animal within roared in triumph. He crawled up her body and pushed inside.

She had given him everything. Her body. Her trust. Her love. He had worried that they were too opposite to ever suit. She was everything intelligent and deliberate, rational and composed. He was decidedly not.

But he could make her come undone when it counted. Match him scratch for scratch, flame to flame. Their differences out of the bedroom were what made them strong as a couple; their similarities under the sheets what brought passion to their marriage.

She was perfect for him, and he would strive every day to be her equal.

He dropped his forehead to hers.

Her arms, her scent, her heat surrounded him, muddling his mind even as his senses thrilled.

He said the only words his awe-struck brain could conjure. The only thing he knew with certainty to be true. “You are my heart, Winnifred. My love without end.

“You are mine.”
