“You were so magically depleted that you were unconscious for almost twelve hours, Ellie.” Prospero’s voice wobbled. “You scared me.”
“I made a tub ofclean water, though.” Ellie preened a little.
Prospero stared at her, seeming far too serious. “You are a hero, Ellie Brandeau. Now, let me make us both feel better.”
Her hand slid along Ellie’s breast and along her hip, pausing to clutch her hip bone like it was a handle as her mouth lowered to draw Ellie’s nipple into her mouth. A sigh escaped as Ellie arched upward. She felt Prospero’s mouth curve slightly, smiling before she gently bit.
But Ellie really wasn’t great at patience. She pushed down the sheet that divided them. “Skin, Prospero. I want to feel yours on mine. I want you touching me.”
A tingle of magic washed over Ellie, and she noted that she couldfeelProspero’s magic when their bodies were touching. But then silky skin glided over hers as Prospero shifted the rest of the way onto the bed.
Ellie stroked her hands down Prospero’s spine, but as soon as she reached Prospero’s low back, Prospero slid away out of reach. She dropped kisses on the underside of Ellie’s breasts, the edge of her ribs, the curve of her hip bones.
“How impatient are you, Miss Brandeau?” Prospero asked, gazing up at her.
Ellie widened her legs, so she was cradling Prospero between them. “Very… but I can’t touch you when you’re so far away.”
“Shall I stop?” Prospero let out a low laugh. The heat of her breath over Ellie’s underwear made Ellie bite her lip to stop a moan.
“No. No stopping.”
“Good.” Prospero pressed a kiss to Ellie’s right thigh and then another kiss to the left thigh. She whispered a word against the covered but now aching and damp part of Ellie, and the thin cotton barrier between Ellie’s body and Prospero’s mouth vanished.
The only magic in play after that was Prospero’s clever mouth and hands, and in far less time than Ellie had thought possible, she was shaking with pleasure. A part of her logical mind said she ought to be embarrassed at her utter lack of self-control, but both her mind and body were trembling.
And Prospero didn’t stop.
When Ellie finally tugged her upward, she gave Prospero an awed smile. “Give me a moment to catch my breath and then—”
Prospero kissed the rest of her words away. “As much as I want that, I need to take you to the Congress.”
Ellie narrowed her gaze in a glare. “Are you serious?”
“Unfortunately.” Prospero pulled her into an embrace. “We only have a few… Ellie?”
“Hush.” Ellie parted Prospero’s legs a bit more and after only a few moments, discovered Prospero wasn’t far from finding her own release. “I want to put my mouth here, but if you’re going to be difficult, this will do for now.”
“I’m… fine. You don’t need—”
“Hush.” Ellie slid two fingers inside Prospero’s already dripping body. “Idoneed. I most definitely need. And so do you.”
Prospero whimpered.
“I’d rather be late than leave you wanting,” Ellie whispered as Prospero shifted to give Ellie better access.
By the time they were dressed again, Ellie almost felt guilty for the obvious worry on Prospero’s face.
She caught her hand. “Hey.”
Prospero looked at her.
“I’m going to tell them I can’t decide yet. We both know they won’t ask me to leave,” Ellie admitted.
“You made clean water, Ellie. They will beg you to stay,” Prospero said, her voice light despite the worry in those words.
“So we just need to go over, tell them that I am staying for now, and that when I’m feeling recharged, I’ll make more pools, and then maybe you can take me to your home where noise isn’t such a worry?” Ellie laced her fingers through Prospero’s. “We can figure things out.”
The look of relief on Prospero’s face made Ellie tug her into an embrace, but then Prospero straightened and stepped backward. “I would very much like that. All of it.”
