Schwint kissed me quickly, drawing my attention away from the fairy. “Come on, Twenty Questions, let’s get outta here.”

“Comein.” My back hit the door as Schwint nuzzled at my neck.

“No. I don’t want you to be miserable tomorrow. You’ve gotta get some sleep.” His tongue crept up my neck and began lapping behind my earlobe. “I don’t want to do anything you’ll regret. I want a second date.”

My fingers curled in his hair as I put pressure on the back of his head, encouraging him in his exploration. “You’ll get a second date.”

He gave another lick and then a quick nip.

I groaned. “Actually, you won’t get a second date. Unless you come in.”

He pulled back, grinning mischievously. “I have to come in to get a second date?”

I nodded.

“Do I have to do anything specific once I’m inside?”

I nodded again.

“I don’t have a choice?”

I shook my head.

“Well, heaven forbid I don’t listen to a warlock. I might get turned into a toad or something else warty.”

I rolled my eyes. “Shut up and come in.”

“Well, get the door open!”

Reaching into my pocket, I fished around for the keys.

“Seriously, Finn?”

“What?”

“Are you a warlock or not?”

“Fine.” He had a point. I never even think about using my power for such everyday routines. With him still pressing into me, I reached behind and felt around on the door until my hand found the handle. Without anything more than the desire for it to unlock, a click sounded, and I twisted the knob. The door flung open, and we nearly fell onto the floor.

After catching myself on the doorframe, I ushered Schwint inside and shut the door with a flick of my wrist.

“That’s more like it.”

“I just shut a door. Most people can do that, you know.”

He leaned in closer. “It’s sexy when you use your power. Even to shut a door. Makes me wonder what else you could use your power for…” His tongue flicked out and darted between my lips and retreated quickly.

“Can I get you water or anything?” I pulled away and headed toward the kitchen. “A beer maybe?”

He pulled me back. “I didn’t come here for a beverage.” He reached out and ran his hand across my chest, the fabric between our skin an annoyance. He traveled farther, his palm smoothing over my stomach. I started to suck in, forgetting that for once in my life, I was sans belly. He snuck his fingers inside the waistband of my jeans, and he pulled me against him, his large cock hard as he ground it against mine. “Where’s your bedroom?”

I motioned behind us, then paused. Despite going on a sex rampage after Brett left, I hadn’t had anyone in my bed since him.

Sensing my apprehension, Schwint pulled back. “You okay? I wasn’t kidding. I don’t want to do anything that’s gonna make you feel strange. We don’t have to do anything you’re not ready for.”

I stared at him. He was back in his human appearance, yellow eyes just a touch too large, but other than that, average Joe. From his ears, to his gray T-shirt, to his dark wash jeans, to his tennis shoes.

Was I okay? I met his eyes for a moment then looked away. I was in trouble. I was falling for him. I knew. I’d done this same thing with Brett. Fallen too fast. Given too much of my heart too quickly. We hadn’t had sex this fast, but still. Hell, I guess Schwint and I had already had sex. I didn’t remember it, but just because I was out of my mind on Spor didn’t mean it didn’t happen. Whatever, it’s just sex. Why overthink it? He’d said that much earlier. Just sex.
