Nash smiled at me and winked. “Good. I love them too.” He reached for my hand, and we said grace. I looked forward to clasping our hands together to give God the praise, even when it was just blessing the food.
Both of us wasted no time digging into our bags. I moaned when I tasted one of the peppers I had in mine. It was seasoned to perfection.
“Baby, we did that,” I told him, referring to the food.
Nash nodded in agreement. “Damn straight we did. We need to start selling our bags.”
I frowned and shook my head. “Hell no. This is ours by ourselves. No one gets to eat or even sample our boil.”
He held his hands up and laughed. “Damn, my bad. I won’t mention that again. I don’t want to fight.”
I pointed a crab leg at him. “Remember right, left, left, right.”
We burst out laughing when I said that.
“Man, I’m not fucking with you. I gotta hide those boxing gloves from you. You’re not about to beat my ass.”
I smiled and continued eating my food. It was everything and more. Nash talked about watching a Harry Potter movie, but we’d have to watch that after a nap. I needed to sleep right now. This food had me ready to crash.
“Aye, baby. Harry Potter’s got to wait. I need a nap,” Nash stated.
“I was just thinking the same thing.”
After we were finished eating, we cleaned up and headed to bed for a nap.
Nash’s bedroom was nothing like mine. You could tell a man slept in there. He had it too damn dark. Every time I came into his bedroom, I had to hit the light. If I didn’t, I’d for sure run into something. One time, I ran my pinky toe into his bed, and I almost cried. He took good care of me that night with the way hesucked my toes to the point I had an orgasm. It didn’t stop the pain, but I felt good in a way I’d never felt before.
When we got into bed, I snuggled with him and rested my head on his chest. I let out a big yawn and excused myself.
“I love you, Kenzlee,” Nash stated.
I kissed his chest and hugged him close. “I love you too, Nashton.”
“Kenzlee, get the door for me,”Nash called out from the bedroom.
I sat on the couch with a Harry Potter book in my hand while he got dressed. He told me his sisters were coming over, and I couldn’t wait to see them. It had been too long, but we texted each other now and then. I marked off the page I was on and got up to open the door.
When I opened the door, my eyes narrowed a bit when I saw who was at the door with them. I pressed my lips together and breathed in and out. This wasn’t my house, so I couldn’t act up how I wanted to. Truthfully, I wanted to flip out. This bitch was every damn where. I had to keep my cool.
I plastered a smile on my face and moved aside to let them in. “Hey, y’all,” I greeted.
Talesha and Dalesha gave me a hug when they entered. When the bitch saw me, she gave a half smile and walked in too. I closed the door and leaned against it.
“God, please give me the strength.” But in my head, I said,Remember right, left, left, right.I didn’t need boxing gloves to beat her ass.
Nash came into the living room and froze when he saw who was there with his sisters. His eyes went from her to me, and he shook his head. He couldn’t have made that more obvious. Truth be told, I didn’t feel comfortable and had to get the hell out of there. I didn’t care how rude that would be, but if I didn’t, I’d spazz out.
“Wassup, y’all?” he greeted them.
He then pulled me into the kitchen. To me, that was rude too. I didn’t want them to think we had talked about them when we reentered the living room.
“How are you feeling?” he asked, rubbing my back.
I dropped my head. “Like I need to get out of here. It’s awkward.”
Nash shook his head. “Nah, I don’t want you to leave. If you’re uncomfortable, I’ll tell them to come back another day. You’re my company, and I wouldn’t want to put you in a situation where you’re uncomfortable. I want you to be good with my people. I want y’all to get along, but if you can’t, I understand that too.”
Nash now had me feeling bad, and I hated putting him in that situation of explaining why I left.
