I screamed when three people appeared at the foot of the bed. Until it registered who they were, I yelled again.
“DON’T FUCKING STAND THERE STARING AT MY VAGINA! SIT OVER THERE!”
I yelled and pointed to the couch, and with a finalpush, I felt the baby come into this world.
EVAN
I sucked in a breath as my heart stuttered a beat, our mate was being born, and the three of us went straight there. A scream put us on alert until we realised it was Ember yelling at us. A universal,
“Oh….ewww” went through us as we shuffled to the sofa when we realised we were staring at her painful-looking lady parts.
I remembered why I’m gay. Women are not pretty down there by any stretch of the imagination, especially when there is a four-inch round head being forced out ofit, poor Ember.
CREED
I’d shot into the room at Ember's scream only to find her yelling at the not-so-scary Demon Trio. I laughed at the slightly green-kicked puppy look they all wore as they sat on the couch,
“I take it Felix decided to turn up for cuddles,” I say, walking over to my tired mate, kissing her before I pick up my son, who’s a wolf/incubus hybrid and also an omega. I knew his mates were desperate to meet him, but I also needed a few minutes. I was so scared for him and his future with them,
“We will keep him safe just like we do Miles, and those three will probably go on a rampage when he gets an owie from dropping one of his wooden blocks on his foot.” Ren pats me on the shoulder I hear a few chuckles and hums, I walk over to Ishi and place my son in his arms, Evan places a soft kiss on the crown of Felix’s head and Angel is running a finger over the top of his foot, an opal glow surrounds them, when it stops the three Demons have a mark around their ring fingers and so does Felix.
“There is a house for the three of you and Felix when he turns eighteen on the other side of the lake. The pack has been warned that when you are in residence, there will be more Demons around and probably a few guards for the baby.” Ember's soft voice startles them
“Fank Ewe.” Evan seems to be the only one who can speak; the others just smile. Ember starts pushing again, and soon I am passed a baby girl, unlike her Twin, she is an Alpha but still a hybrid,
“I think Luna and Dante are going to butt heads.” Ember yawns, and soon we are setting down the babies. The Demons are going to check out their new home, letting us sleep.
CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN
EMBER
Fourteen days after Dante, Arya, Forest and Kota turn eighteen the whole pack celebrates Arya’s mating to the Litter, she admitted to me she never liked any boys and around sixteen she realised why it was only ever Ryland, Cin and Ajax she saw a future with, but boy did she put them through hell, she and Miles have been planning the ceremony since her seventeenth when she told me and Ren she didn’t want them to wait longer than they already had she knew they were her forever.
Her brothers always reassured the Litter that no one had tried more than talking to her, and knowing she was following her dad down the MMA route, they were more worried about others than her.
Thankfully, over the years, we’ve had very few problems outside the pack and the ones inside the pack were quickly sorted.
Ren has retired from professional fighting and now helps Brayden with training sessions at a gym they’ve opened in town.
Saint and Declan left the force and finished opening their security firm with Silas and a few others from their unit. A lot of them got a kick out of Dad being below Dec in rank now.
Declan and Victoria now have five kids, Dec has also started rocking the silver fox look. Dad and Lily had another two kids, and Miles is pregnant with quads at the moment.
The amazing Omega owns a stylist company that does your home and wardrobe all in one, so between Saint and Dec’ssecurity, Bas and Timber building homes, Kodi doing custom furniture, The Quad doing the landscaping and Miles styling your décor and clothes, we are a one-stop family. Effie wants to combine part of Miles and The Quads business to do happy outdoors areas with plants that suit the person, so someone in a high stress job needs a calming area, she’s also told Dante he needs to wait until she is twenty before they will be mating, we know they have started sleeping together ‘shifter noses and all that’ but Xander confirmed he had the talk withthem both and they are on contraception.
JENSON
I don’t have favourites, but Arya and I have always been close and seeing her take the next step in her life makes me realise how far we’ve come. Arya starts glancing around, then sighs, whispers something to Ajax, and then walks away. He watches her go with a soft smile.
When she reaches my biological daughter, I become concerned. None of us has ever shown favouritism to any of the kids, and some of us, like me with Arya, have bonded more with those not of our direct DNA; they all hold a piece of Ember, so we love them equally. I walk over when I notice more of the girls huddled around Aimi-Rose, she takes after me a lot, she has traditional Japanese features, long dark hair, she’s quiet and reserved but she has a mischievous side ‘careful of the quiet ones’ rings true with her, she sits and watches and plots it took a while for us to realise some of the pranks were her.
I stand close but don’t crowd, and slip my hands in my pockets.
“Aimi please talk to me,” a young male voice says, I don’t turn I just raise an eyebrow as I look Aimi in the eyes, at Aimi’s nod I turn and find one of the guards the Demons have in place to protect our son, I tip my chin at him and with a sigh he follows I feel Evan step up next to me.
The young male looks between us, then hangs his head.
“I said something stupid and now she won’t even talk to me,” he mumbles, his head bowed even further.
