“I love you, Smudge, so much.”

EMBER

“You guys are going to make me a slob if you keep wrecking me with orgasms. I’ll be sleeping all the time,” I mumble against Creed’s chest, his hand stroking my back,

“Come on, smudge, let’s get some food.” Creed chuckles. On cue, my tummy grumbles. Chuckling, he scoops me up and carries me to my room so I can put on more than his t-shirt. I keep his shirt but slip some boxers and leggings on; I don’t bother with a bra because sometimes they need to live free. ‘I’m not the only one who sighs with relief when I take off my bra, am I? Oh good! It’s the same with socks, am I right?’

The guys are all sat around the TV room with the NFL Replays playing quietly with their laptops, I plonk next to Kodi and Creed plops a plate of sandwiches, chips and a bowl of fruit next to me, ooo fresh melon and strawberries yes please, mumbling a thanks to Creed around a mouth full of melon, I frown at Kodi’s screen, he’s shopping.

“What are you guys doing?” I frown again when Kodi takes something out of his basket and puts a cheaper version in,

“We don’t want you paying for everything as we have all been saving for a while, so we are kitting out our own bedrooms and offices or workrooms,” Jace informs me with a stern look,

“I’ve already ordered the gym equipment and some stuff for Kodi’s workshop and Paxton’s Garage. Before library stuff is ordered, we need to go through what I still have in storage. Miles has a list of Furniture that I kept of Elise’s, but as far as I’m concerned, that money is pack money, just not in name to protect it like the pack lands are.” They all give me various looks that I don’t want to dig into too much right now.

I shrug, the money will only sit in the account if it’s not used, I’ve only been using the monthly interest so far, and I’m not making a dent in it, but I wonder if the guys don’t realise that,

“Let us do this, baby, soothe our male egos a little, use your money for the foundations you want to set up, I know you want to foster kids too, and I’m happy with that alongside our own babies,” Ren says softly, I give him a small smile, thefew times we have had a night alone we have discussed the future and our plans,

“Eat Angel, it makes my bear nervous when he thinks you’re hurt, sad, tired, hungry or stressed.” he seems shy about voicing this, so I rest my head on Kodi’s shoulder as I munch.

“It’s a bear trait, Bas is a nightmare if we get ill or when Dec comes home injured. I learned quickly not to tell him I couldn’t feel my wolves when you needed them.” Bray chuckles at the memories,

“Probably would have been worse if he had realised it was because you were hurting at the time,” Bray mumbles, wincing at the thought.

Miles chirps up every now and then for votes for things in public areas, but he’s assured me that he is using the card I gave him. I start making a note of things we want for outside in the future, but better to have an idea of where they will be placed. A kids’ play area would be cool.

“As kids are a big plan for the future, what did you all do for school? I know Uncle Nic is the headmaster at the Human High School, but until then, you don’t have full control of your shifts.” I look at my Twin.

“We were homeschooled and then headed to high school if we had control of our shifts.” I nod, then grab an empty pad. Two hours and lots of lists later, I message Uncle Nic, Uncle Luc, Nate, Liam, Alma and the oldies to meet me in Dad’s office. I step in, and they give me a curious look.

“First off, I’m not pregnant, so don’t panic,” Trunk bursts out laughing, and Pops strolls in and double-takes at my words,

“This is purely an idea, but it may affect and benefit your pack and ours.” At their nod, I take a seat in Dad’s chair. I hear a click and realise Alma just took a photo of me, she sticks her tongue out at me and gestures for me to continue,

“Bray told me they were all home-schooled until high school, if Lia, Lily, Bas, Vicki, Timber and I, along with the few females already knocking out kids at the same time, that’s a lot of people doing individual homeschooling.” I place a map I drew of the area with the two pack lands and the land I know Liam owns on the desk, Ipoint to a section.

“Right here is a patch of land that links our three areas and is clear, if we were to build a school there that the three areas could use, and put up housing for teachers like Liam, Nate and Lily that have to move regularly because humans notice they are not ageing could live on pack lands and not worry.

We could also offer housing to more teenagers and have an orphanage set up, have like dorms with a kitchenette and an adult on that floor to keep an eye on and help fewer kids like me and Trick who get lost in the system. I plan to set up a foundation to help those ageing out get further education. We could offer them a scholarship or accommodation, and they take on an apprenticeship at the sawmill, with the construction or landscaping companies,” I notice Liam and Nate making notes,

“If we see if Mickey G has a trusted social worker, even one that by human standards is close to retirement, that could work in-house and a psychologist, we could form our own group home.

How many widowed or pack members are there who can’t have children but would help a child? Hybrids like Bram are regularly dismissed because no one wants to deal with the uncertainty of their abilities. I’ve talked to Ren about setting up some foundations, but why not start with this? It will help us, both packs are preparing for when we start having kids, Miles could have omegas, and the safest place would be pack lands.” They all just stare at me.

“Why didn’t we think of this sooner?” Uncle Nic runs a hand over his face,

“We have 16? 18? 20? boys living with us, they could have all had individual mates with our nephews and niece; they are all likely to have multiple births, as it’s in the family. We also have 2 more sets of twins.” At Luc's words, his eyes widen at me, realising I’m a twin mated to two sets of twins. Alma perks up,

“Liam, Nate, do you know any teachers or psychologists who would be interested in teaching young supernaturals? We could probably do with another doctor and nurse, too, or we are going to burn poor Xander out.” Following her line of thinking,Liam nods

“He has already mentioned getting a midwife. I know you and another lady are trained, but as I said, we have the potential for a lot of babies coming soon” Liam and Nate share a look.

“We might be able to help there; we have a few friends who could, to be honest. But regarding running it we have a friend who is a sun bear but she was mated to an Angel before he was killed so she has his eternal life span her name is Mirri Flowers.” after a few moments and a nod from most of us, he steps out to call her, Uncle Nic texts Mickey G, and the fax sets off as Liam steps back in,

“She says she can visit next week for a few days, but if she takes the job, her adopted daughter would have to come too, she is training to be a midwife.”

Alma decides to sort out one of the guest cabins out and Trunk says he will oversee the site and has a team that is normally on backup, as most are retired. We spend some time going over what buildings we need and the size, depending on capacity and how many staff we will need.
