When I start to slowly thrust, her eyelids flutter and her mouth falls open.

“Is this your favorite position?” I rasp.

“Every position is my favorite with you, Liam. It’s never felt like this with anyone before. You make everything feel incredible.”

Emotion surges up my chest.

“Fuck, baby…” I thrust harder and faster. Her eyes roll back.

“Do you know how amazing you feel?” I rasp. “Do you know how much I crave you?”

She fists the bedsheets as she cries out. Her skin is hot and flushed as she shudders around me.

“Being inside of you is heaven, Kendall.”

She reaches between her legs and plays with her clit. My cock throbs with the urge to unload into her, but I hold off. She needs to come first. Always.

I grip a handful of her luscious ass. A dozen seconds later, she unravels. Her legs shake as she comes with a scream.

And that’s when I go wild. I thrust hard and fast into her, until I explode. My brain falls apart. I can’t think about anything other than Kendall and making her feel as good as she makes me feel.

We collapse onto the bed. I push up as I hover over her, not wanting to put my full weight on her. I kiss her shoulder before I slide off the bed and get rid of the condom. And then I crawl back in and pull her against me.

We’re quiet for a minute. Just the sound of our heavy breathing fills the room.

And then she aims those gorgeous doe eyes at me. “You can’t be real.”

I chuckle and jokingly poke at my arm. “I promise I’m real.”

She smiles. “You’re like a fantasy come to life. You’re hot, sweet, protective, funny. You’re unreal in the best way.”

My heart throbs in my chest. Emotion courses through me as I gaze at Kendall.

And that’s when I know: I’m crazy about this woman.

I swallow back the feelings brimming inside of me. I can’t tell her. Not yet.

So I pull her close and kiss her. “You know just what to say to make a guy feel special.”

She chuckles. A second later, her expression turns shy. “Hey, um, I know it’s been a while since I’ve been to one of your games. Would it be okay if I went to your first game of the season next week?”

I smile so wide, my cheeks hurt. “I’d love that.”

Chapter 41

Kendall

Isit in the stands at the arena, nerves firing off inside of me.

I glance down at the Wolves jersey I’m wearing. Number seventy-seven. Liam’s number.

The crowd goes nuts cheering them on, while I gaze ahead at the ice right as the team hits the ice for warmups.

It’s the first game of the season and a home game, so the arena is packed with every hockey fan in Nashville.

I spot Liam stretching on the ice. My heart skids in my chest as I watch him.

I think back to last weekend, how I spent the whole time at his place. He took care of me, fed me, cuddled with me, bathed with me. He made me feel safe and normal again after that awful harassment incident.
