James nods frantically, sweat dripping down his temple.
I release him with a shove and step out into the night, the air cold against the heat burning through me.
But no amount of cold can smother the truth clawing at the back of my skull.
I wasn’t free anymore.
And I didn’t know if I ever would be again.
Avoiding Temptation
It’s been four days since I’ve seen Mr Walker—four days and I still can’t get the image of him laid across me while I’m naked out of my head, the way he simply glided his thick long tongue across my fingers causing my body to tremble within moments.
I couldn’t face him after that.
I still wasn’t sure what his game was. It seemed he enjoyed teasing me, but I wasn’t sure if that’s as far as it went.
I quickly learned his schedule. He wasn’t working from home until next week, so I still had ample time to avoid him, but with this being my fourth day here, I was quickly running out of time.
Kate hadn’t come back since that first night, and I spent my days trying to hide from the man who brought me to my mother fucking knees with one dark look.
Skipping down the stairs I’m in high spirits I’ve avoided another awkward scene because I have just seen his car leave and I can finally have breakfast, padding across the kitchen floor I feel the cold beneath my feet as I make my way to the fridge.
Peering inside, I’m unsure what I should make.
Could just go simple and have eggs and fresh orange juice, after all the only appetite I seem to have is for my best friend’s dad.
“Alexa, play Dirty Thoughts by Chloe Adams.” I speak into the electronic device that sits by the cereal; the music plays loudly as I pour my juice into a clean glass.
Swinging my hips as I beat three eggs in a glass bowl with the whisk that I’m holding in my arms, I’m finally relaxed. “Why have you been avoiding me?” Screaming, the bowl jumps in the air, splashing egg in my hair, and splattering in my face. The bowl crashes to the ground.
With large hands wrapped around me, lifting me into the air, I turn my head and see egg sliding down his dark locks, spearing onto his three-piece suit.
Shit.
He turns, walks up the stairs and throws me onto his bed. “Hey,” I scream.
“Don’t move.”
Shit.
Had I pissed him off?
Well, I had just caked him in egg and smashed a bowl in the process, and he stalks out of the room.
I want to get up, but he told me not to move.
This is stupid.
This is precisely the reason I’d avoided him.
Getting up from the bed, I’m stopped by the deep growl that I hear erupt from his throat. “I thought I told you not to move.” His eyes bore sternly into mine.
“I chose not to listen,” I smirk.
He races towards me, pushing me back down on the bed. I try to get up, but his body lies across mine, restricting my movements.
My heart beats faster beneath him while the heat from his body renders me unable to move. “Why have you been avoiding me?”
